Have you ever used the Pomodoro Technique before? If not, do one Pomodoro session today and let me know how you liked it!

So funny, I use the Pomadoro Technique and recently made a YT video about it and other tools that help me skyrocket my productivity as well. Its been such an eye-opener to also get a handle on hong long things take to complete using the technique.

Sirita Wright that’s amazing! I’ll have to go watch your video today to see what all you shared! I think learning how long things take is such a valuable outcome of using the Pomodoro Technique. Thank you for commenting 💕

Hi Megan, We use the Pomodoro Technique in my classroom, so the students stay focused on their lessons. We only use the 25-minute timer in class. It has improved concentration, and they are getting better grades. I think I will try it for a day for myself. Thanks for the planner!

I tried this today and LOVED IT!!!! I usually try to do 50-60 minutes but I saw a huge boost in productivity with 25-minute increments. Thanks for the video!

Wonderful video. Can't wait to try this. It's certainly better than working for 1-1/2 hour stretches straight with no breaks and using coffee as my 'production enhancer' only to end up dead tired after a long day.

It's weird, I've heard about it before but always brushed the Pomodoro Technique off. Mainly because I felt like the time ratio of 25 to 5 wasn't right for me. But I think I'm in a space in my life now where my thoughts around time are changing significantly, so I'm so glad you did a video on it. Since I left my job, I'm such a time waster but after one round, I'm totally seeing the benefits. Think I'm going to really spice up the ratios (like for every Pomodoro I get a stretch session AND a KZbin video break) but even that will be better than what I've been doing lately. 😩Thanks for sharing!

Pomodoro means tomato in italian ..maybe the original Technique was 15 min + 5 min = 3 reps / hour?
@TechWriterToolkit6 жыл бұрын
I think it's related to the kitchen timer that's shaped like a tomato.

doesn't it distract you to think about the time all the time? I find that I lose all my thoughts doing it with the timer...

Question: Are there any Pomodoro Technique KZbin videos on project breakdown for ADHD Inattentive senior retirees? My project is overwhelming. I want to Sort, Keep, Toss, or Donate over 40 yrs’ of paperwork, clothes, & household goods, now in piles, boxes, overstuffed closets, & garage. Example: What are components A, B, C of Paper Sorting that I can use as a roadmap, track my progress in 25 min work sessions, & know where to begin on my next Sorting work session? If anyone can point me in the right direction for this detail, it would be a Godsend. I really want to do it myself & believe I can if I find a method that works for my ADHD Inattentive brain. Thank you! PS-I’ve tried several KZbin paper organization tutorials, but I get distracted by some shiny object & don’t know where to begin when I get back to the paper piles. I’ve hired 2 professional organizers for the paper alone, but they barely scratched the surface. Again, Thank you!

Question, I’m going to try this my question is; when studying do I Study one subject for 25 minutes then take a five-minute break and then study another subject for 25 minutes?
@lakeisha17285 жыл бұрын
It depends. If you haven't finished studying for subject number 1, then continue studying until that subject is complete. If you're finished studying that subject, then move on to the next.
