Rick, these little intimate videos are the best. Thanks for posting these.

It's great walking small European villages and towns at night when everyone is asleep. Had the chance to do this several years ago in Venice and it was quite the experience. Makes you feel like you have been transported back hundreds of years in the past.

Walking around at night out in the open carrying a camera, and don't have to worry one bit about a mugger. That is amazing. I will live in someplace like that someday, when I retire perhaps. Beautiful.

This made me tear up and I wasn't expecting that. Could feel Rick's passion for the place. Great video.

Love your videos. I appreciate things like that too. I live in Santa Barbara County, CA, and one of the most beautiful sights that hit me so hard unexpectedly was to get out of the car and walk around a beautifully lit Mission Santa Barbara at night. There is something to be said for actually standing there, rather than driving past. Keep sharing all your stuff! :)

Isn't it sad when you assume the only way people can be thoughtful and marvel at this world is by doing drugs?

AnteroX1234 Obviously I'm joking. But you've got a good point.

When I saw the title, I thought "here we go again. Another foreigner giving their uneducated opinion on Brexit". But fair play to you - an entirely accurate depiction of the mood in the country at the moment. Good man.

+Festive_ Actually, he can often get things wrong. He often looks at things with a very heavy liberal American slant.

A town without a church is a hamlet, I think. Wonder what you call a city without a cathedral.

In England, it's a town. Only a city if it's got a cathedral.

it's not a city if it doesn't have a Cathedral.

you can be a city without a cathedral. Wolverhampton is one example.

What's wrong with a smaller Britain? They will be just fine.
@organisten8 жыл бұрын
I'm fed up with that line of argument. Of course the UK and Europe of tomorrow will be just fine. I'm not bothered about that. TODAY and the consequences right now are the problem. And before I hear any more fine platitudes about how wonderful things can be in the future, one is today, one lives in the present, and one is tomorrow's yesterday. It ain't going to help you, me or anyone else who pays the price now. And "tomorrow" is a fat lot of good to us. We won't be here to see "tomorrow". If the next generation is going to shine, how is that going to help those who will be pensioners or six feet under by the time that long term future materializes. Nor is it any comfort to those who were doing just fine before this idiotic vote, if their prospects are ruined, to say that the future is bright.
