This point at 1:31 is a great example of the importance of choosing which ball to attack. You can see Sam putting 100% effort into each ball, but not being able to break through Otto's blocks. Then Otto recognizes when Sam is out of position and wins the rally with one well-placed attack. There are many other points in this match where I feel like Sam's "shoot first" mentality makes him give up a loose ball. I feel like this sort of decision-making and awareness is one of Otto's greatest strengths in general - he knows when to "activate" and can transition from passive to aggressive play very seamlessly. Also, Sam and I have the same shoes! Let's go! 🤣

Sam was definitely a fierce opponent - he kept hitting too deep (I think he lost the most points that way). The times where the ball connected made for some awesome rallies. He started to get really frustrated though, and I think that messed with his mojo. Way to keep it cool, Otto.
