I found the parry to be too challenging to pull off, so I never used it either. I had just bought the switch and wasn't used to the controls.

He 1st Skyrim Playthrough'd in every way imaginable. Going vertically up wall faces if possible, taking the most difficult path on accident, stumbling upon unexpectedly cool stuff... And saving almost all your resources up for a mediocre-difficulty final boss fight that you way-overprepared for. Love it.
