That free blender course took me so much longer than 4 hours. Spent like 2 weeks on it more than a year ago. 😂 I came back to it so many times when I didn't know what to do. I'm so glad I took it. Insane class for free. Thanks Ryu.

As always, thank you Ryuu for how incredibly brilliant your mind is, your designs continually push me to improve and be the best version of myself as an artist that I can be.

I think you would make a great teaching if you show a complete work of art that lacks the precision you put in geometric details. By comparing them, we will immediately see the importance, effects and power derived from those details

This is the perfect asset for a game CGA, or all 3D industry, just not for bending, remember that, but in-game, things about little, no bending it all, just character, and maybe trees but, that no hard surface, that's make different....maybe some bending rivers also different work, and have others rar situation with bending hard surface models.....and you make perfect asset nice work, keep going, and hops give the vanilla blender stuff what is in 3dsmax Maya is available without addons, that is the package, but I can with all that's menus you gonna crazy, best modeling tools, purely modeling for me is blender!

Thanks ! How many time i try to explain that modeling with quad is not always needed. Try to understand the needs rather than stupidly applying rules

Next time you do an intro like that make sure you have a "Quad Boy" T-shirt on :)

So i really need to get more fluent and productive in hard surface. I have a good understanding in Blender for sub-d, albeit a bit slow, would the Game Package be a good start?
@PonteRyuurui8 ай бұрын
It really dpends on what you wanna do. If it's game assets then sure. GA course is an boolean workflow, since quads are not needed for that gun. Also how's your knowledge of addons like hardops and boxcutter?
@JustMeUT998 ай бұрын
Reason I got into blender was for game assets. I have decent knowledge of both hard ops and box cutter but don't use them enough. I do use mesh machine all the time especially symmetrize. Really need to enhance my productivity as I focus way to much on sub-d for things that just get decimated down to low poly for baking anyways. @@PonteRyuurui

The entire reason I started blender last year was for game assets. I do admittedly focus way to much on sub-d and clean topology which really slows me down when I end up just decimating and baking anyways. Want to try and focus more on hard ops and box cutter for which I'm somewhat familiar with as I do occasionally use it, but need to just focus on it and learn it better. I do use mesh machine quite often as I don't know how you can live without symmetrize. @@PonteRyuurui

@@PonteRyuurui I think youtube hates me. This is the third reply and hopefully it sticks. Everything I do is game asset related. I have a rudimentary knowledge of hardops and box cutter simply because I don't use it enough. I just need to learn it more and add it to my knowledge base. I focus way to much on "clean" topology and sub-d, which isn't bad, but I feel slows me down when in the end it just gets decimated and baked for the low poly.

@@JustMeUT99Yup, subd is way slower and also far more abstract, bool workflo is mor eintuitive and fun, better for gettin gth ecreative juicec going and slapping quick concepts. Game Asset 2.0 course should be fine, I'd grab that + the Ultimate guide to Hardops and Boxcutter.

Blender Bros have a lot of good information but what I'm struggling to find is how to easily move all your settings and plugins from one Blender version to the next i.e. Blender 3.6 -> 4.0

I have HopsCutter and Machine Tools. Is there a difference between Mirror function between them? What is the general difference between symmetrizing something and mirroring? Can I set up one of them to symmetrize the mesh and the other one to mirror it?

mesh machine is for mesh symmetry

Friend, is it possible to bake with this project? to use in animation with loaded textures
@PonteRyuurui9 ай бұрын
You mean bake the details? Sure. as long as the model doesnt deform, you are good.
@hilaindie9 ай бұрын
@@PonteRyuurui Excuse my English, I bought MaterialWorks and I wanted to know if it is possible to bake the textures, like Substance Painter, so when I export the model I can use it with textures.
