Muffler delete louder at startup and idle, but I think the Borla S-type sounds better at driveoff.

That straight pipe was on the money. Borla's systems just don't sound as impressive on the newer sheetmetal as they have in the past....

Need long tube headers. My G8 GT came with SLP headers and stock exhaust back. Sounded close or louder to the Borla system in video with just that. Now i have a 3inch magnaflow cat back system with BTR cam.

No the borla doesn't need straight pipe. It needs high-flow cats.

My 09 G8 GXP sounds perfect with the corsa exhaust saving to put headers , gets loud when you step on it. That borla s-type is too silent

Clean 08 G8 color exterior right stance & not bad sound with Borla S Type system but think Maganflow probably been better

That Borla is very quiet. The S type on my HEMI has much more sound. Put a set of Vibrants or Cavens on it. Do not like the straight pipe sound. Just loud, no tone. And the reverb when the RPMs are decreasing is not pleasant. Maybe X pipe it to give it some tone.

The borla is one of the weakest sounding exhausts for the G8. G8 owners should go with a Solo or Corsa exhaust, everything else is just a waste imo
