In this video I introduce what is probably a big mistake of a project car. It's a 1967 Pontiac Catalina with a seized engine. But thats ok because I have a replacement thats ready to go...or is it?

That looks exactly like the IMPALA with different tail lights.....Right next to my shop in Front Royal are 2 twin Pontiac's might be Tempest or Catalina never really tried to see to hard but they been sitting there well over 30 years probably and looks like they were first purchased when the couple got married....so the sentimental thing is in place I'm sure but I for the life of me cannot understand why people have cars rotting on their property instead of either doing something with em or sell em off. And in the mountain life it is absolutely EVERYWHERE it seems. Why do people do that. Put the damn MMO in the cylinder for God's sake. Heat is your best friend for stuck bolts and pb blaster spray to get sucked into the threads while it hot. But if that is an aluminum block, that trick may not work so well. Works better with similar metals.....😿 That long sad face says it all. Time to overhaul that running engine.........so ya gonna go .020 or .030 over? Can the crank be saved and polished or ya need a new one? What the heck throw a good 10K motor in that ol Cat and kick her in da behind (pedal to the floor after breakin). Puttin the finishing touches on the Katana should be done in the next couple weeks.

Lol yeah no sign of the MMO in the actual cylinders. We'll see about the 400. Dropping it off tomorrow at the machine shop. Can't wait to hear about the Katana!
