Gotta get that from March Performance. If you got the kit brand new, it should come with one. Good luck!

I installed the Powerbond Pb105ss which is 3.25 wide the stock balancer Pb1056n is 3.15 wide giving the .1 difference not the Flow Cooler water pump.

Ohhhh, that's good to know. Definitely a combination of the two issues because the Flow Cooler flanges are not the same as thickness as the Edelbrock flanges, throwing off the stand off distances. I'll look into a new my balancer dimensions. Thanks for the tip!

Hey love all the videos it’s been a tremendous help for my 301 T/A. When installing the style track, did you have to run any bolts to the heads? From watching the video it didn’t appear that you had to, just wondering.

Thanks, and no. No mounting bolts touch the heads. Have fun!

This is great news the 301 timing cover has the same dimensions like the others aside from the timing tab which the 301 is bolt on. However it’s advertised 326 - 455, I find many items in the catalogs stating Exc.301 but work. I understand the boat anchor thing it’s an embarrassment. Not everyone needs 600 HP and with quality parts it dresses up like all the other pontiac. Good for car shows, hoping one day TTA performance can build me a quality performance 301.

@@davidforte964 Ha! no worries... glad you're keeping it, "as born". Keep it rollin! Thanks again for the comments.

I believe this is a reverse rotation water pump? And can the mechanical fuel pump remain?
@FastMonty Жыл бұрын
@@davidforte964 Pretty sure it's a standard pump... the kit comes with an Edelbrock pump, I ended up using a FlowKooler. And, yes, you can still use the mechanical fuel pump. (There are two different power steering brackets, one pulls the pump closer to the engine, the other pushes it further away, be sure to double check that with March) Have fun!

I guess it would be a good idea to carry that adjustment tool with the car at all times in case you're belt brakes or losses tension.😀

Did you ever consider Vintage Air’s Front Runner?. A much better system than March Performance.
@FastMonty4 жыл бұрын
Good Question... I sourced my March System at the very beginning of restoring the GTO, which was about 10 years ago. I don't know if the Front Runner existed back then? Looking at it now, it does look pretty cool. There are a couple of other companies out there that make Pontiac Sets too... I just happen to have a March system. Thanks for the comment!
