maybe you can have the lights get darker as the health decreases until and the end it goes to black, like you are the actual person fighting. I don't know how good this would be for 2 players or how to show the cpus health or the players stamina

I think it would be cool if the spectators had idle animations and if every time a fighter gets a good hit or a fighter is knocked out the crowd would cheer and celebrate. Loving the series!

Okay, for the stamina thing, i had the idea: When stamina is low, adjust the flexibility of the ragdoll physics, so it looks like the boxer has lower energy in his muscles and also he reacts a lot more to hits. it is something that you kinda have to get used to to get a feeling for how low the stamina acutally is, but optionally you can add a bar somewhere, like under his feet in circular shape, to get a more accurate information. but i think the floppiness of the body indicating the fatigue of the boxer is a nice idea and maybe you can make something from it. excuse my english

You could do something like make a heart thumping fast and heavy breathing sound when the player keeps constantly stringing hard hits without resting. If the player keeps on with it ignoring the sound cues then the player starts losing health and may even die. And you may also use a red vignette that develops slowly, indicating the stamina is low. About the player dying when the health starts depleting, you could also maybe program it like such that after a certain point of health diminished due to stamina, the player character stops responding to inputs from controller for a few secs and loops a tired animation with arms dangling by the side and some cool stars or cuckoo birds flying around the character's head ( I think this cartoony effect will go perfectly with the kid's room setup). That way the player can't spam and mash buttons and will actually have to think about strategically throwing punches as in real boxing. I hope you read this comment and I hope it's epikk enough lol. I'm just waiting for the collision with the ring stuff xD I'm loving this devlog btw, I can't wait to buy the finished game to play it with my friends on a random weekend while having snacks anda couple of drinks. It's just the perfect game for that. THAT'S WHY I'd suggest to implement a tournament option for the local multiplayer, kinda like the one you have in Smash

have you ever thought of maybe trying to make rope physics? I think it’ll add a whole new element the the game. Also, I’m not sure if this fits the kids bedroom style but maybe try making crowd animations and like animations on the knockouts or big hits.

hey dude I love your videos, anyways, i know a way that you can make the ropes floppy, try adding bones (armatures) to them in blender then back in unreal engine add rigidbodys to all of the bones. this should work (i use unity and this worked for me) . EDIT(if it doesn't work try this): im not to sure about unreal engine but I forgot to say that you have to use hinge joints to connect all of the bones

for the stamina i suggest using image effect like the low hp in fps where the screen fade to red, in punch a bunch case i guess some kind of blurry effect when stamina is low, and red screen when hp is low, plus for the sound i guess environment sound damp shift would be nice, and cues like heartbeats gets louder and faster, i guess its more intuitive and obvious that players wont even need to take their focus out of the fight to understand what is happening, and impossible to miss.
