I hate how abruptly that part went from, "We're doing this surgery in an attempt to save this dog's life," to, "He's crashed and we're trying to bring him back." This is why they should leave the surgical stuff in these videos, so the viewer can better understand exactly what led to sad outcomes as this, and also what leads to the happy outcomes like the pup whose foot was successfuly repaired. One never forgets their pets who've passed; rest in peace, little Bob.

Losing Bob and seeing his owner with his toys made me cry, oof. I'm glad she was able to get Rocky, he won't replace him but it gives a grieving person something to do, and that helps. I'm glad the other two puppers and Hera the rat had happy endings.

I want to say thank you to the camera and production team for staying respectful of Bob's passing. It was incredibly sad to see the devastation in the vets and nurses, but it shows that they have feelings too... And I think, that his owner is an absolute sweetheart, who really loved him and it touched me, that this was also handled with the utmost respect. She could show her sadness without it being made into a spectacle. So thank you for your respect. It was a very well made tribute to a too short life. 💔

My favorite pet when I was a child was a white rat named Sammy. Our family's washing machine broke, and we went to a local laundry mat. And someone had left a box there with this white rat in it with a note that said 'my name is Sammy. Please take care of me..' My mother let me take Sammy home, and I had that rat for 2 years. He was so wonderful. He'd sit on my shoulder when I did my homework, and would delicately take grapes out of my fingers. He ultimately died, of course, because he was a fully adult rat when I got him, but I will never forget that wonderful old soul.

I have pretty much spent my whole life living in apartments, and here in the U.S. another of them don't allow dogs, I have had hamsters, rabbits, and cats. As a kid we had a couple of dogs. But my husband and I had to put are first baby down after 14 yes, and that was very difficult, then 2 months later we lost our other 2 babies, Gracie was 13 us old, and Oscar was 4 months old, In a house fire. I never thought I would get over those losses. Then a friend of a friend, contacted us through Facebook, she had 2 brothers she was going to surrender to the S.P.C.A. well, she ended up giving them to us, and it happened that we just moved into our new apartment, I still miss all my babies, but my new babies have filled a big hole, and I couldn't be more thankful.

@@gachalilypad2764 oh, my dad was the same way about rats. If you're set on it, and it's at all possible you could consider trying to find a hamster that was hand-raised to open them up to the idea of small rodents. If you do try that route I highly recommend one that's been regularly handled (unfortunately that cuts out petstore hamsters entirely) so that the ham's friendly and used to being held. A pair of gerbils may also be something to try to "break in" small animals (I suggest a pair as they're social animals vs hamsters which are solitary)

Now, 3 years later he has very bad arthritis in that foot & a visible deformity, but he soldiered on so well. It was casted for 6 weeks and I made sure he never was in pain if I could help it.

Owners of mixed breed poodles, especially when they are so small, need to monitor their play so they’re not getting too rough when their tiny joints are still developing. This happens far too often. Too many owners are complacent and think their dogs are “playing” and having “fun” when in fact the dogs are not enjoying it at all. Getting kids excited about the dog “jumping up and down” is the opposite of what the dog need. He needs to remain immobile so he can heal for 6-8 weeks.

Georgina seems to be a wonderful dog owner and I'm so happy she got Rocky 💖! A new puppy can never replace a dog that you've loved and lost, but he/she can be a great support and give you much needed comfort in your grief (been there, done that). The only thing I'm worried about, is Rocky's harness. Should it really sit so loosely 🤔? If he stops and take a couple of steps backwards, he might slip out of that harness. If that happens and he runs off, he can get hurt (or worse). I really don't want that to happen to Georgina (or Rocky) after what she went through with Bob! 😧

When Gracie had the nerve and muscle test I had a minor flashback when I had mine done cause my right thumb had gone n still is numb. I kinda wished the dr who did mine had knocked me out cause those tests hurt like a son of a gun but hurts less than giving birth to a baby imo.

I am having trouble with both of my thumbs, scale from 1-10 they are a 11. It's terrible pain, I have hip dysplasia and need hip replacement on both but these thumbs hurt worse than that! OMG it feels like a knife stabbing them! I have to go see a Dr of some sort but I don't know what they can do for them. Anyway I wondered what they would do so that gives me an idea, thank you for sharing! Not looking forward to it though!!

@@aprilchamberlain1677 I hope you get your thumbs straightened out ...... I don't mean as in made straight, I mean fixed :0) I had thumb joint reconstruction on both of mine (the basal thumb joint in both hands was shot), had one done in 2018 and the other in 2019. I watched you tube videos of the surgery I was to have, cringe worthy to say the least, but I wanted to know what my surgeon was "going to do to me" ha ha I now have 2 fully functional hands Good luck in your journey to new thumb joint . I keep putting off getting my bone on bone knee joint replaced ..... not much interested in being in a hospital for a surgery which is still pretty much elective at this point since I still can drive my car (with a clutch), shop, do yard work and climb and descend the stairs (most of the time) Obviously don't know where you are located. Where I am in the states, I use a practice that strictly a hand center (actually the entire arm and they do shoulders as well) It is a specialized practice (not general orthopedics) Best of luck in finding a good hand surgeon.

@@tinydancer7426 yeah I hope I can find a good Dr for my thumbs because I use a cane sometimes & a walker all the time so I need my hands. I am in southern Michigan and I have no idea if there is a specialist for that kind of stuff, I know there's orthopedic specialist around here but that's it. I am sure there's one around somewhere just a matter of finding them. I have to go see my family Dr next month so I will ask then. You are braver than I because I wouldn't be able to watch the surgery online and then go get it done, that would give me nightmares!! No thanks I can use my imagination lol🤣 Glad to hear it all worked out for you and thank you for the kind words! Have a great day/night!

I have the same thing as Bob & I wish they had put me to sleep when they did those nerve tests’. Bob probably has a vitamin deficiency. They should have gone over his diet with the owner to figure out why and done blood tests to check for other deficiencies and excesses.

I take VE for leg cramps also. So I now have to call and make an appointment for a rigid brace for my left lower leg. Thank you for explaining it for me.
