I hate how abruptly that part went from, "We're doing this surgery in an attempt to save this dog's life," to, "He's crashed and we're trying to bring him back." This is why they should leave the surgical stuff in these videos, so the viewer can better understand exactly what led to sad outcomes as this, and also what leads to the happy outcomes like the pup whose foot was successfuly repaired. One never forgets their pets who've passed; rest in peace, little Bob.

I want to say thank you to the camera and production team for staying respectful of Bob's passing. It was incredibly sad to see the devastation in the vets and nurses, but it shows that they have feelings too... And I think, that his owner is an absolute sweetheart, who really loved him and it touched me, that this was also handled with the utmost respect. She could show her sadness without it being made into a spectacle. So thank you for your respect. It was a very well made tribute to a too short life. 💔

I have pretty much spent my whole life living in apartments, and here in the U.S. another of them don't allow dogs, I have had hamsters, rabbits, and cats. As a kid we had a couple of dogs. But my husband and I had to put are first baby down after 14 yes, and that was very difficult, then 2 months later we lost our other 2 babies, Gracie was 13 us old, and Oscar was 4 months old, In a house fire. I never thought I would get over those losses. Then a friend of a friend, contacted us through Facebook, she had 2 brothers she was going to surrender to the S.P.C.A. well, she ended up giving them to us, and it happened that we just moved into our new apartment, I still miss all my babies, but my new babies have filled a big hole, and I couldn't be more thankful.

@@gachalilypad2764 oh, my dad was the same way about rats. If you're set on it, and it's at all possible you could consider trying to find a hamster that was hand-raised to open them up to the idea of small rodents. If you do try that route I highly recommend one that's been regularly handled (unfortunately that cuts out petstore hamsters entirely) so that the ham's friendly and used to being held. A pair of gerbils may also be something to try to "break in" small animals (I suggest a pair as they're social animals vs hamsters which are solitary)

My favorite pet when I was a child was a white rat named Sammy. Our family's washing machine broke, and we went to a local laundry mat. And someone had left a box there with this white rat in it with a note that said 'my name is Sammy. Please take care of me..' My mother let me take Sammy home, and I had that rat for 2 years. He was so wonderful. He'd sit on my shoulder when I did my homework, and would delicately take grapes out of my fingers. He ultimately died, of course, because he was a fully adult rat when I got him, but I will never forget that wonderful old soul.

Whatever the future brings, I will be forever grateful to everyone behind the shows, and especially to the owners for their generosity in sharing such difficult times in their families' lives. Georgina seems to be a wonderful dog owner and I'm so happy she got Rocky 💖! A new puppy can never replace a dog that you've loved and lost, but he/she can be a great support and give you much needed comfort in your grief (been there, done that). The only thing I'm worried about, is Rocky's harness. Should it really sit so loosely 🤔? If he stops and take a couple of steps backwards, he might slip out of that harness. If that happens and he runs off, he can get hurt (or worse). I really don't want that to happen to Georgina (or Rocky) after what she went through with Bob! 😧

RIP little bob. Rats are so smart, and such great pets. They really do get a bad reputation.

I hate when production adds sound for rats. They don't make sound typically 🙄

I have noticed they do the same for cats purring (even when the cats obviously really stressed still) but I don't know enough about rats to nptice it here too. Interesting to know!

Owners of mixed breed poodles, especially when they are so small, need to monitor their play so they’re not getting too rough when their tiny joints are still developing. This happens far too often. Too many owners are complacent and think their dogs are “playing” and having “fun” when in fact the dogs are not enjoying it at all. Getting kids excited about the dog “jumping up and down” is the opposite of what the dog need. He needs to remain immobile so he can heal for 6-8 weeks.
