The reason your D-pad is messed up is because the Wii remote would usually be rotated for those games, but the key binding on the PC are fixed to the original orientation. *Edit* He figured this out right at the end lmao

@@TheCreepersGood In Dolphin, you can change the bindings if you go into controllers, select Emulated Wii Remote on Wii Remote 1, then Configure, on the bottom right and change it to either sideway or upright. You can then also change what keys each button is, so the D-pad can be wasd or the arrow keys or whatever

Fun fact. To configure your controls correctly for minigames when you hold the Wii remote sideways, you have to go into controls and tick the box that says Wii Remote sideways, as the emulator makes the default Wii Remote setting vertical. That should configure the controls for these types of minigames correctly. However, when the minigame that requires the sideways configuration is over, you'll have to untick this box for the Wii Remote to enter its vertical state once more. Also, you might want to use the keys on your keyboard that are actually the button you want. Example, A for A, B for B etc. I hope this helps!
