To be fair it's actually the easiest cup to do it since the tracks are longer and hence much easier to get/maintain a big lead. Think about it, on what track will getting hit by a blue shell on lap three or hitting a wall in an offline race be more impactful, Ghost Valley or DK Mountain?

Its not about the lead. Iirc its certain time per race, getting very few collisions and especially no falling into lava/down and own items hit enemies and items used to block enemy items. this stuff causes internal score to go up/down

the dolphin dasher is the perfect bike for poof to use. still a good inside drift bike, easier to drift with, good acceleration and the 2nd best offroad in the game (which poof happens to go into a lot). honestly better for him than the mach bike

Here's some headers to drive faster: 1. You can wheelie to drive faster by simply flicking the wii remote up, this makes it to where the steering is very still so I recommend just using it on straight or very midly turning parts, (To stop steering just flick the remote up once again). 2. If you respawn you can try to time the drive button (2 in your case) right as you hit the ground to give you a little boost, this is what happened at 4:12 3. If you ever find yourself in a completely still position (After you've been hit by a shell, fake item box, a bullet bill a wandering beast (penguin, goomba, etc.)) you can hold down the brake and accelerate buttons (1 & 2 in your case) at the same time until a blue flame appears at the back wheel/wheels, then simply let go of the brake button to get a mini boost, I only recommend doing this with bikes and carts that have a low acceleration stat

I may be mistaken, but if I remember correctly, the stars are based on what places you are in at any point in the race. So if you have a time where you're in last for a while, it'll only be one star. Edit: It's also based on how many obstacles you hit, including falling into pits, and how much you drive off-road.

Yeah there's a lot of factors that determine GP rank, it's based on a hidden points system that nobody really knows about. Burn-outs, hitting CPUs with items, even mini turbos from drifts, all contribute. TLDR, drive well :)
