Thanks for the video! While I agree with the balanced diet suggestion, I disagree that 'balance' includes carbs. Several studies repeatedly show that there are essential amino acids(protein) and essential fatty acids(fats) but there are no essential carbs for human survival. The problem I see with carbs is, just the way you mentioned that having long gaps in between meals makes you crave and eat more, the same way eating refined carbs(which is what most of the carbs we easily find these days are) spikes insulin and makes you feel hungry sooner than later and results in overall increased number of calories consumed per day. So, reducing carbs(read 'simple sugary carbs') helps us control our hunger and food intake much better. While I agree there are good carbs(the unrefined rices/wheat, veggies etc), basically fiber rich ones, most of the easily available carbs in the market are bad carbs and if we dont consciously tell ourselves to reduce(or if possible even eliminate) carbs, we wont get that easy control on weight. I have lost 50kgs weight in 2yrs, so this is just my two cents from my own personal experience.

i agree , most of the nutrition and doctor community is still stuck in 50s-60s food science . Sedentary lifestyle and surge in ultra processed nutritionally deficient carb consumption is leading to massive obesity epidemic india . You will be hard pressed to spot a lady in 30s who is slim and trim in a mall . Most of the guys in 30s have pot bellies .This is not normal !

An average woman's belly won't be "slim and trim" because we have a uterus which will show just like Adam's apple is visible in men. Those who are "slim and trim" are either because their body type is naturally that way or they went on a strict diet. Don't comment on women's body if you are a man because you don't know shit about our body composition and issues realted to our body.

A healthy diet is the one which has all the 5 pillars of nutrition like Carbs, Protein, fats, vitamins, and minerals. One can have a cheat day once a week to feed the cravings. Portion control should be the key approach. Nothing in excess should be consumed & nothing in less quantity than required by the body to function properly. At the end of the day, it's on our hands to decide from where we are getting the no of calories required. Personally, I've been overweight throughout my life so trust me, I know the pain! Eat delete has been my bible for a long time now. I have read both of your books & am eagerly waiting for your 3rd one. Good luck with your upcoming release!

I think our body knows what it want like when u r thirsty u drink water then u dont feel like thirsty.means when body need some sugar automatically u will go after any sweet but just taking it in a gentleway bcs. Body cant tell how much to eat but what to eat yes.but above this all yes a balance diet is a healthy diet.There is no fixed diet like a thin man will say the grt. Khali is eating a lot but thats normal for him,so everyone should eat acc. To their need.

For me healthy eating simply means a diet that protects my body inside out, from disease and pain. And let me enjoy the wellness of health, flourishing and giving me vigour. A diet that evinces being healthy both physically and mentally. A diet which has a great satiety value not only for my stomach as well as for my mental health too. Eating, that brings great joy and boost of happiness in my body while compensating the joyful losses that had been taken place. Eating that is conducive to health.

Answer to your question is healthy eating according to me is what I have eaten my childhood but in small quantities..When to stop eating when my tummy says this much is enough! Don't overload our tummy with food.Frequent meals are necessary. WHOLESOME HOME COOKED FOOD IS ALWAYS BEST.And the fist which you mentioned.Carbs,fat,protein,vitamins and minerals should be there in every meal.❤Lastly eat mindfully.

Guys, the basics of a healthy body lies in fasting and NOT TO eat at frequent intervals. If you really want to learn about how to become and remain healthy, please start watching videos of people like Thomas Delauer, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Oz, Jason Fung, Dr. David Sinclair. Sure Pooja is beautiful but that does not mean she delivers correct information. Please stop following people blindly. I have nothing against Pooja, I just wanted to put across the correct information and contribute to the well being of the society. Thanks!

Still holding antiquated views on nutrition . Carbs make people hungry and they consume more than that is required for thier body and hence the obesity epidemic . Protiens have higher satiety so you dont get the urge to eat consequently your calorie consumption goes down resulting in sustainable weight loss

You are asking the wrong question. The question should be, why are some people able to eat whatever they want and never put on a pound? Sure you can starve yourself, workout and lose the weight, but you always have to live in fear that it will come back. Constantly stress about what to eat, worry and monitor your intake. You do not deserve to live like that. So the question is, what’s the difference between your body and the body of someone who does not gain weight? The answer is their rate of metabolism. Metabolism is how fast the body burns energy. With a high metabolism it is impossible to gain weight and you never have to worry about what you eat. Your body is programmed to convert and store energy as fat. You want to change that program, so essentially your body does the work for you and constantly burns that extra energy so you never have to think about your weight again. Sounds like a dream? Just look at that slim person who eats that huge piece of chocolate cake without a care. They’re not thinking about their weight. I am a working mother of 2.5 year old. I cook, take baby to garden by walk(in baby's speed ofcourse) twice a day and 8-9hrs of office work. I am up from 7am to 12midnight. My height is 163cm, even after having extremely tight schedule I have put on weight i.e 65kg. Food quantity is not a lot but ofcourse very healthy. I don't eat junk food. But still gained weight. Can u help me know, what might be the reason for my weight gain?

As per you, if sun rise and sun set has nothing to do with quantity of food intake and if it depends upon one's activities only then why are you suggesting to have the biggest meal in the noon? Everyone is active mostly from morning to noon, this way breakfast should be the biggest one as per your logic but you suggesting to have lunch the biggest. Please don't dievert the people off the Ayurveda's and Maharishi Vagbhatt's ancient principles of eating. In fact, the quantity and timings of consuming the meal depends upon both the sun rise /sun set and activities.
