Elena’s blood was only needed for the hybrid transition because of Klaus’ curse, bound by Tatia’s blood (the doppelgänger that existed in the 990-1000 era). If klaus was never cursed, he would’ve been able to use his blood like Hayley/the baby’s blood. Which is why he tries turning hybrids using just his blood in 3x02, because that’s how it was supposed to work. Klaus’ baby hasn’t been cursed, so they technically could create hybrids at will, much easier than Klaus can.

No. Its confusing i know, but that is not quite true. Klaus's curse was broken fully. Tatia's blood was needed, because her blood created the Originals. Ester knew this. So when Ester bound Klaus werewolf side she used Tatia's blood again. This is what created the Doppelganger in the first place. A way to undo the curse. Ester made sure the doppelganger had to die to break the curse. To ensure even if he breaks the curse he couldn't make hybrids. I mean to just have a fun conversation. Im not trying to be mean or anything, maybe i am forgetting or over looking something. I can go into more detail but i dont want to cause any spoilers. Its a confusing mess but im fairly sure im right.

@@zackstoner4523 It's because of the hybrid curse which is what added the doppelganger blood requirement. The curse sealed away his werewolf side and bound it with a curse so that if it should ever be broken he would not be able to sire any hybrids without a doppelgangers blood, Klaus acknowledges this as the original witches final f u to him so that he would be alone. Tatia's blood was used to channel enough power to create the originals spell in the same way a witch may use the full moon or a passing comet to fuel their spell which is different to using it as a binding agent like with the werewolf curse being bound to the full moon and the hybrid curse being bound with the doppelganger blood. The blood doesn't have any effect on the originals, it was just used to power the spell. if it did then the originals would have to use doppelganger blood to make regular vampires which we know they don't. Tatia isn't the first doppelganger that started them all either. The first 2 doppelgangers were Silas and Amara. When they became immortal they upset the balance of nature, so nature created versions of them that could be killed which are the doppelgangers. Because they are technically a supernatural occurrence they hold great magical power that can be channelled by witches to achieve all sorts of feats. The doppelgangers we are aware of are in order, Silas and Amara, Tatia, Stefan and Kathrine, and Elena and Tom Avery. After Silas and Amara were both killed the doppelgangers ceased being created since they were no longer needed to create balance leaving Elena the very last doppelganger and no more coming in the future.

I feel so bad for klaus these couple episodes and how Elijah and Hayley both just jump to conclusions ik he’s done terrible things but they all have yk, also I just want you to really think about Klauses baby and who all the baby is connected to, love the reaction can’t wait for more lol

I HATED Tyler so much after this episode... He CHOSE to stab Hayley in the stomach for blood when it didn't need to come from there... Considering he completed the transition by feeding from her neck.. So when he came back to TVD I didn't care what happened to him, he was dead to me.

This would have been easier to keep track of if you'd watched this season alongside the corresponding VD season. But fortunately they didn't this very often unlike, say, Buffy and Angel.

Tyler was never my fave but weirdly upon rewatch I just feel bad that they wasted his character, the actor is one of the best to work with they should have done better. He always had the wolves and their safety in mind, just helping people. We love Klaus but I lowkey wish Tyler did make him pay in some other way, Klaus never answers for the things he’s done. And having him maybe feel sorry for killing his mother would be a good humanity add on

I've never understood the idea that Elijah should simply give Klaus the benefit of the doubt in this instance, or any for that matter... Just because Elijah seeks Klaus redemption doesn't mean that he doesn't know exactly what Klaus is and what he is capable of; he believes his brother can change, but he doesn't forget that he isn't there yet... It would make Elijah extremely dumb if he just simply forgive and forget everything that Klaus is capable of, that's how all of them end up daggered; it happened with Rebekah, every time she thought Klaus was "on the mend" and lower her guard she ended up hurt and daggered, happened with Elijah in TVD, hell, happened just a couple of episodes ago when Elijah got daggered for the crime of wanting to protect Klaus' own child... That's just not it... Elijah hopes for the best but always expects and plans for the worse, that's how you survive Klaus and that's on him... That fact that Klaus did a complete 180 in terms of wanting the child can be perceived by Elijah as "he found out something and he is not telling me", combined with the fact that, like Elijah said, he hasn't shown the tiniest bit of care for Hayley or her health and the only times that he talks about the baby is how that baby fits into his plans for power... It isn't some unrealistic far fetched leap of faith; hurting and using his own family and his own blood has been Klaus MO for centuries. I've always enjoyed Klaus more vulnerable side and scenes, and J Morgan plays it beautifully... But the idea that Klaus plays the victim card WHILE at the same time professing how much he has "changed" and "how well he is behaving" is just insane to me... If he really were that "enlighten" then he would totally understand WHY his siblings don't give him the benefit of the doubt, he would understand that this situation, this mistrust, is of his own doing... Klaus isn't "the victim" in this situation... I understand that it is hurtful for him and I also understand all of the factors, like his fear of abandonment, his trauma, etc. that makes him react the way he does, I understand that; doesn't mean that he is in the right or that he gets a pass or that he gets to play the victim because THIS ONE TIME, his feelings were hurt.

It makes me mad a little every time I see Elijah so easily judging Klaus here... Even it that scene, Klaus asked them how it's possible that there was body of a hybrid and they still accused him of knowing everything. No sense, especially that Klaus didn't want the baby at the beginning and how he supposed to knew about it? Also it doesn't suit too much Elijah's character in my opinion, when he is the one who is always first to stood by his family, talking so much about giving him a chance and believe in Klaus the most... Yeah, Klaus did a lot terrible things to him and he has every right to not trust in Klaus completely but still Elijah was shown as the one who despite everything believed in him and wanted to stood by his side even after that 1000 years of Klaus bad behavior. So it's just weird for me that suddenly it was so easy for him to believe in what Tyler said. Especially because it made no sense.
