I truly believe that our adopted pets ( especially cats and dogs ) understand and feel gratitude for being given a second chance at life . They will show you love & appreciation for the remainder of their days . That at least is my experience and at 63 I've adopted /found/taken in a multitude of felines & canines . These two , George & Windy are like 2 peas in a pod .They may LOOK like complete opposites but I believe that they share one heart & one soul . I hope that they have MANY YEARS of contentment in each others company !!! ❤🐾❤😺❤🐶❤

Wow that was awesome! Sometimes I question humanity on our treatment of animals. I have 4 dogs not a cat person but I would never walk away from a stray kitten or cat. Can’t do it for any animal especially the very young that need that special kind of attention and nurturing. Many of you know what I mean. I sometimes wonder about how many animals are out there just trying to survive another day in this crazy world and those that have been abandoned. I have to stop and clear my mind because it’s so depressing. God bless you and remember there are many more like us out there that respect and love animals.

You have a very handsome, gentle dog and a beautiful kitten. Thank you for your story. I lived with my parents on a farm that had several barn cats. Mother cats have unusual behavior sometimes that I could never understand. Often one would take one or more of their kittens away. Generally, they would bring them back, but sometimes they would only bring some of them back. And they were usually the age of this kitten. We fed and treated are animals well and the only reason I could find for them doing this is that they might be training them to hunt. Maybe someone else will know a different reason. We did have people who would dump their cats, maybe because we were a farm or just being out in the country, but they were usually much older.

I really wish I could take anyone who abandons an animal to a remote place with no food or water and leave them there for a week feeling alone and vulnerable and scared so they know the things they inflict on those animals, we as a species are both beautiful and ugly, you are beautiful kind and amazing for rescuing windy..
