Personally I'd like to know how you did the lighting/shading on that last bit, because that looks amazing. (The one in the final version, just after all the basic shading, so the FILTER I guess)

The lighting was done with gaussian-blurred masks in After Effects (one light and one dark on each side), and for shadows I either moved the mask frame by frame or just flipped the drawing vertically and made it black + blurred + transparent. The filters were mostly brightness/contrast adjustments and color correction
