Victor was a good man. He apologized for delays due to his cancer. He was trying his best to get orders out before he passed away.

Loved your video. Your "look for easy to spot warnings" instructions was clear and easy to follow. I make my own whips and I am happy to say that I would have passed your test. I still use the first real whip that I ever made, it is easily the worst looking whip I have ever made. but it has lasted over 2 years of regular use.

Hey Dead Logic, I love this video and saw it when it first came out, but I love how this video is gaining traction. We need to spread the word about junk whips. I would love to see you upload some more videos. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Caliber Whips thank you very much for the positive feedback. I should be uploading some more videos soon. I agree people need to know about these junk whips and we need to highlight actual whip makers and spread the word. Thanks again.

Hey there.... I loved your opinion, and I respect it! I made 4 whips and my grandpa also gifted me, his hand made whip, best gift ever, I am from India and I live in town, we have a farm, and sometimes I dressed up like wild West and I play around 😅..... I am too talkative 😅

Thank you for reviewing this whip. It makes me so angry to see these shyster passing off their crap as a whip! Real whipmakers spend years and years developing their craft and they have integrity in their work and it takes many hours to make a quality whip, and poor craftsmanship like this make people think a real whip can be bought for peanuts. It's not folks. You get what you pay for (generally). Buyers beware!

I make whips out of plastic and other scraps,,, I learned how to make them real good too,,, they work great! I made a 5 footer out of braided 6 mill plastic,, it's lasted for years:-):-):-) of course they aren't great works of art but they do well in wet or unfavorable conditions and if lost or broken no problems:-):-):-),

I bought my first whip from Mark Allen in 1999. It was an 8 foot kangaroo hide whip with 12 plait I think. In any case, it was the most well made whip I've ever seen. I find kangaroo far superior to cowhide

If u watch one tutorial as u go and follow it you can make a decent long lasting parachord whip you first try. Won't be perfect but it's really not too hard with practice to get better. And honestly if u don't rush it the first one will work fine. I made my first out of rope with a square four plait no belly and that pos lasted years lol.

valentina Sandoval there are a lot of good sturdy synthetic whips that are great for beginners at a pretty low price. If you want kangaroo, then I’d go to victor Tella he has incredible prices. Hope this helps
It's funny because I just purchased the bad whip no more than 2 hours ago. Time to cancel my order.

Well...I just received my 8ft "Black Beast" yesterday...and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I spent a solid hour looking it over for flaws...and haven't found any yet. I haven't tried the other makers...I just can't see room for improvement over Victor's work. I suppose...you can pay more for a bigger name...but if you're looking for a great whip at a great price...Victor's the man.

You get what you pay for , but people need to do their homework before buying , don't touch anything that's mass produced. Im a professional whipmaker and only work with roohide and make stockwhips .Bevelling edges is a personal choice I don't do anymore ,That piece of junk doesn't look like its been put through a splitter to get the lacing an even thickness or even rolled to get the plait sitting down nice, so to me it looks to be an uneven lacing , shitty workmanship .My advice to people wanting to buy good roohide whips is look for a whipmaker that doesn't mass make them. It takes me over a week to make one 6ft 8 plait roohide stockwhip
