I was thinking about the fine sand dust waste filtrate that is left after extracting the iron oxide with HCl, then even further cleaned by removing the gold and similar material with aqua Regia. This must be in some ways very clean and very tough chemically. Yes it is contaminated by residual acidd, but otherwise very clean and resistant. It seems like there must be some kind of use for such a material? Like a filter of some kind or acid resistant lining. Medical use it surely has no bacteria or virus?
