Nooooo wayyyyy , I cannot live without popcorn 🍿 that’s one thing I cannot give up . But guess what ! I am on keto for last 2 years and learned to make popcorn on stove ingredients are : kernels ,grass fed butter , 100% olive oil , Himalayan salt and the result is superrrrr 👍 I have disciplined myself to eat on alternate weekends

@karend.92184 жыл бұрын
Used to eat lots of popcorn but only a little butter and salt. Now, 2 years on LCHF, I eat 2 cups organic popcorn and more butter and salt. It’s about 12 g carb. With more butter, more satisfying and fat moderates absorption of glucose. I recently bought a silicone micro popper. We love it.

Having eaten a low carb diet for 25 years I don't eat a lot of popcorn but when I do I pop it in coconut oil that has beta carotene in the mix along with flavorcol popcorn seasoning. The coconut oil is an accepted fat that's allowed on a low carb diet and due to the increased water excretion during a low carb diet it's recommended to increase your salt intake to lesson your chance of low blood sodium levels. Limit the popcorn but not the butter, oil and salt. With a pop corn machine, popcorn coconut oil and the proper seasoning you can make popcorn that rivals that in any movie theater. When ever the wife and I are having company I pop a bunch of fresh popcorn before guests arrive and it scents the entire house and makes guests always want a bowl of the popcorn.

I had gotten into the habit of grabbing something each time I wondered into the kitchen, even though I knew that I wasn't really hungry. So, my Rule 1 is "Stay out of the kitchen." Reminds me of a joke I heard in which the first rule of avoiding shark attacks is never "Stay out of the water." I really do enjoy your videos. They're never preachy and seem sound and rational.
