Popcorn Sleeves! Adding Crochet to Denim

Ik heb een telefoonhouder voor mijn vrouw gemaakt door wat denim van een oude spijkerbroek te recyclen. Ik heb twee stukken uitgeknipt in de vorm van de telefoon, wat was het ongeveer een kwart inch of een halve inch extra dimensie helemaal rondom. Ik heb het uit de onderkant van het been geknipt zodat de zoom een verstevigde rand zou vormen voor de bovenkant van de houder. Ik heb een lange doorlopende band gehaakt om om haar nek te hangen. Vervolgens heb ik gaten geprikt met regelmatige tussenpozen rond drie zijden van elk van de stukken denim en heb ik ze met slip stitches aan de band vastgemaakt, waardoor er een soort zakje ontstond. Ik heb ook gaten geprikt in de bovenrand van een van de patches en een lange taps toelopende flap gehaakt om over te vouwen, met een open lus aan de bovenkant om om een knoop te passen. Vervolgens heb ik een klinknagel in jeansstijl gebruikt als knoop en deze aan het midden van de andere patch aan de buitenkant bevestigd. Dit resulteerde in een zeer stevige en modieuze telefoonhouder, die ik een telefoonportemonnee noem, waar mijn vrouw helemaal weg van was.

I made a cell phone holder for my wife by recycling some denim from an old pair of blue jeans. I cut out two pieces in the shape of the phone, what was it about a quarter inch or a half inch of extra dimension all the way around. I cut it out from the bottom of the leg so that the hem would provide a reinforced edge for the top of the holder. I crocheted a long continuous strap to hang around her neck. Then I poked holes add regular intervals around three sides of each of the pieces of denim and used slip stitches to secure them to the strap, making a sort of pouch. I also poked holes in the top edge of one of the patches and crochet a long tapering flap to fold over, with an open loop at the top to fit around a button. Then I use a blue jeans style rivet to act as a button and attached it to the center of the other patch on the outside. This resulted in a very sturdy add fashionable phone holder, which I call a phone wallet, that my wife absolutely loved.
