The confrontation between Josey and Ten Bears is one of the greatest dialogs in modern cinema. Two men who know that they could easily shed so much blood meeting together and realizing that they've lived the same life in many ways and can make the choice to create life, not death. It's fantastic.

Brilliant film, only watched it recent with my daughter, it was her first time seen it, and she loved the film. They sure don’t make films like this anymore, Eastwood is one of a kind and will always be a favourite actor of mine 👍👍👍

This is one of my favorite westerns. You need to watch Quigley Down Under, 3:10 to Yuma (the newer version with Russell Crow), The Searchers, and I think you would like The Man From Snowy River.

Forgot about Quigley. That is a great movie.

Watching TOJW here then back to back with Little Big Man, is some of America's best filmmaking, storytelling and acting talent. They both shine a cold light on America's dark past like few others of that scale. Cinematic masterpieces that deftly roll pride and shame into one.

This is one of my favorite movies. It's a little slow in the 2nd half, but overall xlnt. Other favorites include D.O.A with Edmund O'Brien, The Count of Monte Cristo with Robert Donat, and the Hunchback of Notre Dame with Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Sullivan.

The Outlaw Josey Wales and Pale Rider are two of my favorite westerns. I'm glad you're reacting to Josie Wales! High Plains Drifter has some similar themes to Pale Rider.

If you want to see that final house in the movie, it's still standing near Kanab Utah at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They have a tour that drives past (no going inside), and it's a great animal rescue and has a great lunch buffet. Kanab is also known as Little Hollywood, many many westerns were filmed in that area and there's a movie museum that includes many building fronts that were saved from western films.

The Josey and Ten Bears dialog is one of my favorite scenes of all time. Few words were spoken, but much respect for each other blossoms before your eyes.

I love The Outlaw Josey Wales, too. But people will come screaming and say The Wild Bunch, The Searchers, Unforgiven, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Red River, The Magnificent Seven, Stagecoach, Shane, or High Noon is the best western ever.

You should watch Pale Rider, another western directed by and starring Eastwood. Classic western with Eastwood in an unexpected role. Another good western that doesn't get enough attention is Two Mules for Sister Sara. Shirley McClain stars with Eastwood in that one.
