I seriously appreciate you're reactions of War Movies- You've done WW1 ones and WW2 ones- ((Don't forget Korean War ones, too)(This is a list of three Vietnam War movies inspired by real people, along with their real stories, the next three are easily plausible movies, merely inspired by actual or possible events:)) Inspired by Real Events: -'Casualties of War' (1989) Action-Drama. Based on actual events, Michael J. Fox stars. -'Good Morning Vietnam' (1987) Comedy-Action-Drama. Based on a real Armed Forces Radio host. Robin Williams stars. -'Born On the Fourth of July' (1989) Action-Drama. Based on actual events of Ron Kovic. Tom Cruise stars. Fictional, Yet Plausible: -'Full Metal Jacket' (1987)R. (Action-Drama) R. Lee Ermey stars, Matthew Modine and others. -'Apocalypse Now' (1979) (Action-Drama) Martin Sheen stars. -'Platoon' (1986) Charlie Sheen stars. (Action-Drama-Comedy)

For me, the "family dinner" scene where Yelena reveals how their time in America was REAL FOR HER is the best part and the heart of the movie. Great writing and brilliant acting by Florence Pugh.

There's great foreshadowing to that which I didn't notice the first time. Like when Red Guardian hugs them while they're walking away from the copter Natasha breaks away right away but Yelena stays with him even as she complains about him.

Alexei and Melina are deeply flawed people...broken people. They, like most in their "occupation" were horribly abused, specifically to themselves become abusers. That they managed to do as well as they did with Natasha and Yelena, is pretty impressive. But most of all, you can tell they really do care. It's sincere. You don't remember the words to your long-lost daughter's favorite song, verbatim, for two decades...only to sing it to her when she's hurting...if you don't love her.

FYI, terminal velocity doesn't have anything to do with the speed being enough to kill someone, it's the fastest speed an object can fall through the air (technically, it can refer to the fastest speed an object can fall through any liquid, but it's usually referring to falling through the air on Earth): the point where the friction from the atmosphere is enough to keep you from continuing to accelerate. Although hitting the ground at terminal velocity is almost certain to kill you, that's not where the name comes from. It's because it's the terminal point where the force of gravity is canceled out by the forces of friction and buoyancy so that the acceleration becomes zero.

@@timjohnson3518 that depends on relative speed. How fast is that person rocketing towards you? It's equivalent to someone running towards you full tilt to a person riding a bike. The bad thing is you can't dodge out of the way unless youre trained to do aeral acrobatics. Then you can dodge (but even then you have no point of reference for how far away they are.)

The entire scene from the helicopter crash to 'Mum's house' was all shot in Surrey, England, a few miles from where I live. Hankley Common, and indeed, the wider area, has been used for a number of Marvel movies. In the case of Hankley Common however, the local village, Thursley, is named after Thor, which I must assume is some production in-joke for those 'in the know'. The common even doubled for Scotland for the ending of Skyfall.

I'm convinced this is a blooper that got left in the movie because when Scarjo, still in character says "watch your step" FloPu? smirks with a "yeah, you got me" kinda sheepish look on her face and then it immediately cuts. I really enjoyed Black Widow. It has alot of good action, mixed with that on-brand humor we have come to expect. Plus the dynamic they all have as a "family" is great. Yelena (Florence) has one of the best introductions in the franchise. Funny, interesting and she loves Nat, even though they aren't actually sisters. The love they all feel is real. Speaking of Yelena, watch the Hawkeye series. That is all I will say. Overall, this movie was entertaining. And that is exactly what I want out of Marvel movies. Entertainment. 👌

24:59 Yelena calling Alexei the Crimson Dynamo is a reference to an identity in the comics some Russian agents where they wear red armoured suits.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen this movie, but when it is you and your sister, I can't resist watching. You both are so adorable! Best to you-

Black Widow has been one of my favorite characters since the Avengers movie where they elevated her character. They should have made & released this movie several years ago; they did SJ wrong in my opinion.

@@andyrobin7196 if you’re not entering the movie invested in the character then certainly this movie won’t change that. For those of us that are fans of Black Widow, we enjoy seeing a backstory. I would have enjoyed it being darker and not so comedic, but I like how they use her story as a metaphor for what the world actually does to women in terms of overriding their freedom of choice.

I think you'll like Shang Chi, too. BTW, the "ang" part of Shang is pronounced like the "ong" in "wrong", not like the "ang" in "hang". I never knew it until the movie came out.

The Taskmaster character in this movie was given the Bane treatment (Batman and Robin 1997). Hopefully with the introduction of the multiverse, we get a better character portrayal.

I actually didn’t really like Natasha either until I saw this movie. Then like you, I got sad knowing she dies. And you’re right that Red Guardian was great in this, but that might also be my love of Hopper coming out haha.

He has photographic muscle memory, so he can mimic body movements flawlessly just by watching. So like, say he never took a day of karate in his life. If he watched a black belt do a kick, he could then do that exact kick exactly as if he had done that kick a thousand times before. He wouldn't be able to do any other kick though, unless he watched them do another one. He's also naturally gifted at hand to hand, since he can see precisely what you're doing.
