This movie came out the year I was born. Carrie's mom is a special kind of crazy. That woman ain't wrapped too tight and she made Carrie suffer.

When the blood fell, Tommy mouthed "What the hell?" He started to like her...
@RebeccaODonnell-19412 жыл бұрын
The bucket, one of the old fashioned heavy type, actually killed Tommy. Carrie felt him die. So it’s much more than the bucket of blood horror. She’s also avenging him.

“Previous on X-Men and shit” “She with the denim king himself” “She gave her the Ric Flair slap” Woooo! We had to make our book covers with paper bags from the grocery store. I remember seeing this at home with my mom who is the nicest woman ever and even she was looking at Carrie’s mom like “this bitch is crazy.” 🤘🏼

The scene where they are outside the slaughterhouse is Farmer Johns meatpacking in the city of Vernon, CA. That wall still looks like that to this day.

This was actually based off of King's very first novel to be published. He had written short stories before, but this short story turned novel and became his first one published, this was back in 1973. Three years later here comes this now classic movie.

Here's a fun fact. Priscilla Pointer and Amy Irving are mother and daughter in real life, as well as in this movie. Plus, William Katt was actually Amy Irvings boyfriend at that time, too. Carrie was Stephen King's very first published work from 1974, and 2 years later or became the first film adaptation. This was so early in King's career, that the trailer didn't vocalize his name and even spelled his first name as S T E V E N not S T E P H E N. Sissy Spacek is actually married to the art director of this movie, Jack Fisk, and are still married to this day. Jack was even in the shower with Spacek to put the blood in her hand. And the stuff that was dumped all over Carrie was actually Karo syrup that was dyed red. That must've been sticky. Also, Carrie was John Travolta's theatrical debut after his television role as Vinny Barbarino in Welcome Back Kotter.
@mattsnyderARTIST7 ай бұрын
Actually Travolta theatrical debut was in The Devils Rain in 1975, this film is his first speaking role in a theatrical film.

Saw this as a 6 yro w/ my folks. The jump scare at the end was comparable 2 end of 1st Friday the 13th-SCARED THE HELL OUT OF EVEYBODY!!! 🤣 Never thought n a million yrs the sequel 20 yrs later would b any good, but I HIGHLY recommend it! Hope all's well, stays well, Brother!!! ✌ ❤ 🚬

Your reactions are great! By the way, the gym teacher’s slap was totally real. Nancy Allen says they did about 30 takes of that scene. And she got slapped really hard every single time! The director was looking for a certain reaction and made them do it over and over. But Travolta’s slaps were not real. He was really afraid of hurting Nancy Allen.

How she's dressed and walking down that street looks so much like Halloween. They even got pj in this from Halloween lol. By the end she's walking around like michaelmyers. He probably wishes he had powers like Carrie lol. She starts off movie looking like laurie but towards end she's like michaelmyers lol especially at ball and then popping out of ground like she's michaelmyers or jason lol. Which that's where they got the idea if doing that from. Friday the 13th got it from this movie lol.

1. Stephen King threw this book into the trash but his wife took it out and told him to publish it. It was his first book to be published outside pulp adult magazines and it was the first one adapted into a movie. The rest is history. 2. As long as I have a face Norma/P.J. Soles has a place to sit. 3. Back then teachers could strike the kid if necessary. 4. Her mother is a real piece of work. 5 Tommy and Sue were really trying to help her. 6. Both Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie were nominated for Oscars but lost. 7. Margaret is impaled in the same position as Carrie's Jesus statue. 8. As usual with King remakes they all sucked. 9. If you want the best Stephen King book adaptation you must watch "The Green Mile". It's got Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan" You WILL cry.

The only thing I don't like about this movie is when we get to the last act that gym scene reminds me too much about mass shootings and school shootings for how many years now. The whole story can be kind of like that. Sucky life. Sucky home life at least to them. Sucky school life at least for them. They probably wish they had these powers. Thank God for that not happening. And like you Saud some people get killed that has nothing to do with anything. Was there anybody really laughing or was that all just in her head lol. Yeah remake pretty good. They tried to run her over in that one and they died lol. Cluck off but go to next video lol.
