We surely believe that our pope made a mistake however the pope is the CEO on earth but Christ is the owner of our Catholic CHURCH. REMEMBER what JESUS said, I am the vine and you are the branches, abide in me and I in you, we shall be one in love. There is only one vine, not too many vines, Jesus feeds the vine with HIS BODY AND BLOOD TO KEEP IT ALIVE. How about you protestants, your food is coming from your own pastors who make money out of you. IT is the Catholic church that had educated the whole world from east to west from ignorance, no protestant church ever contributed to the development of the world than the Catholic church. The Catholic church spread the Bible all over the world when the protestant movement was still non-existent.

Because Catholicism, as Bishop Barron put it, has the fullness of the truth whereas the other religions don't. Even though the purpose and intention of these other religions the Pope mentions are to put people on a path to reach God, they don't contain the fullness of truth the Church has in doing so. So which one will you choose?

Choose a path according to your own preference . Thats why i side more with hinduism rather than abrahamic cults which are based upon one sole figure (jesus and mohammad) . Basically they are organised religions while Bhudhism and Hinduism are not . And also i like its meaning of life rather than following a book . Know thyself and love and let live , complete your dharma (duty (loose translation)) to break free from the cycle of karma and birth and rebirth , by defeating hate , lust , greed etc .

@Berawan-o1k no because the orthodox system isn’t built upon patriarchal infallibility. Patriarchs can fall into heresy and it doesn’t disprove the Orthodox system. If the Pope teaches heresy then it shatters the Roman Catholic system, that’s it, gg no redos. And before this point is made it’s not “bad popes don’t disprove the papacy” no a bad Pope does not but a heretical or an apostate Pope does and THAT is what’s being argued not that he’s merely bad.

Fr who cares , imagine claiming ; “If you have the same faith as that of mine , you for sure will be granted a ticket in heaven 😂” while Hanuman from Hinduism, Rather says that you will be judged by your actions and not by your faith . 😂 The concept of karma also fixes the problem of evil (in my view) as (according to my knowledge) if you hurt a animal or a being instead of being in hell for “eternity” cause you didnt believed in a guy people were asking you to you will be punished by being reincarnated as a species thats not human . Thats why a birth of a human is considered so precious , as its the only way you can break free from cycle of birth and death by knowing yourself and realising the God within .

The last refuge for Roman Catholics is that perpetually cited dead end: It doesn't matter what "official status" Pope Francis' statement has, because Vatican 1 teaches the Bishop of Rome cannot be a heretic, defect or teach theological error in faith and morals. Heresy and apostasy in Papal theology are not merely errors or sins, but sins that ipso facto remove one from the Mystical Body. Thus, the "status" of any statement is irrelevant given the supposed Vatican 1 "protection from error," which surely protects against apostasy and heresy! If the pope can defect, then Vatican 1 is false and indefectibility is false. But to illustrate the key point - what this shows is that Roman Catholic dogma itself contradicts, since Pope Francis statement that all religions are "paths" to "god" is exactly what Vatican 2's Nostra Aetate and Lumen Gentium say.

Not to say you haven't had genuine Grace given to you, but only those baptized into the Church have been given the Holy Spirit (acts 2:38) how about this. Relativism doesn't work because position A posits both position A and B are equally valid, position B says only position B is valid and position A is wrong, making position A invalid because it says something that contradicts it is equally valid. You can't interpret scripture without the Church that put together the scripture in history, go watch jays debate with pastor p.

Glory to God I left Roman Catholicism for Orthodoxy 8 years ago. For all the RC’s that say “Orthodoxy is in the same boat” bc we have problematic bishops like Bartholomew and Elpidohphoros completely miss the point that they are not infallible nor do they have any authority outside their jurisdiction. Having said that I wish the bishops would get rid of Elpidohphoros in America lol

I left the Roman sect and entered Orthodoxy years ago. Zero regrets. Absolutely the greatest thing in my life, the center of my life, and the truth itself. So many people profess to be Christians yet know basically nothing of what Christianity is. Prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and resting in the Triune God. Nothing more beautiful!

Orthodoxy doesn't make those blasphemous claims in the first place, so there is no equivalence. This isn't complicated, and has been iterated many thousands of times in print and online, for centuries, so why do papists keep bringing it up? Of course, I know why: it is psychological, they are coping. Visit an Orthodox church and experience true Christianity!

You'd be surprised how few people, even in trad circles, believe in God. And no, the papist spiritual life is nothing like the Orthodox spiritual life. Even uniates have marked differences on the ground, whether in areas they are dominant or minority. Please visit an Orthodox church! Life is too important to toss away. Many people here giving thanks for leaving or joining the RCC or the same for Orthodox and Protestant. Be reminded it is Jesus who died for your sins and sent the Holy Spirit to indwell you when you place your faith/trust in Him that you might live lives that glorify God the Father. Beyond that, "Read your bible pray everyday and you will grow" is a sunday school song that has powerful advice. I saw videos of many people coming to Christ in places like Iran and China after seeing visions. They are not seeing visions of Orthodox, RC or Protestant Leaders or Institutions but Christ. Jesus said "If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me". God bless us all.

This is an excellent and very elaborate video that brings up many thoughtful points. As a Catholic, I believe it's essential to focus on the sacraments, especially the Eucharist-the true body and blood of Christ. While Popes and religious figures may sometimes misrepresent or make confusing statements, I don’t believe this invalidates Catholicism as a whole. The heart of the Church’s unity is not found solely in papal statements but in Christ Himself, who is truly present in the Eucharist. It’s through Him, in communion with the saints, that the Church remains united and continues to stand.

The Church has already been saved by our Lord Jesus Christ. The papist synagogue is a heretical sect which has departed from that Church around a thousand years ago, since then the Latins have proclaimed a myriad of blasphemous heresies as their official teaching. Changing the false religion of papism, repenting and joining the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Eastern Orthodox Church is the only option you have if you wish to avoid eternal damnation, as all heretics will eventually depart into the everlasting fire.

It wont happen unless the papacy essentially ex cathedra admits that all of the post-schism papal dogmas are in error (worth mentioning that Benedict XVI *did* come VERY close while stopping just short of flat-out admitting it) and renounces the Filioque. Also, quite a few RC canonizations/beatifications would need to be revoked (histrionic demoniac nuns like Margaret Mary Alacoque, and persecutors of Orthodox Christians like Josaphat Kuntsevych and Aloysius Stepinac, as some examples). You will probably see the Ecumenical Patriarchate/GOARCH go Uniate next year, though. I doubt any of the others will

@@JayDyer What the hell is "papalism"? You mean Christianity? Christ appointed Peter to his office, so the papacy is part and parcel of Christianity. Always was, always will be. And, no, Vatican I teaches that the pope is infallible when he speaks EX CATHEDRA on faith or morals. It doesn't teach that he somehow loses free will when he takes the office and therefore can never sin in the area of heresy or anything else. It's saying there is divine protection, through Christ's prayer for Peter, against him formally teaching heresy to the whole Church. Christ established the papacy, so Christ backs it up. You also must realize that anyone who is actually a heretic is therefore not a Catholic, so therefore cannot serve as pope.

It is vital that you get baptised in an Orthodox Church, because without the sacrament of baptism you can’t be considered a Christian - so put all of your available resources into reaching the nearest Church, a priest that can baptise you so you could be joined to the Arc of Salvation, the Church, and give you Communion. It is of utmost importance that you do it as soon as possible.

Visit your local Orthodox Church and speak to one of the spiritual fathers there before or after Divine Liturgy. Let them know that you are discerning the Orthodox Church and want to begin the process of becoming a catechumen. Things will proceed from there, God willing. P.S. As the brother mentioned above, baptism is very important as it pertains to our being members of the Church. This is why it should not be delayed.
