@@bradwilmot6845 I often think this, like if you cannot do this sort of stuff already now that you are representing your country shouldn’t be there in first place. Think training should be working on the other aspects as you say; attacking, defending, pressing, positioning could go on, but do it as a team not individually. Especially at this standard and where they do not play with the players week in week out.
@bradwilmot68453 жыл бұрын
@@matthewimhardbrucelee6995 You are correct, these videos are all great for the camera loads of saves everyones but is it actually beneficial for the GKs? The phrase you always hear with goalkeepers is that the older they are the better they get. Why? It is because they are always practising in isolation and becoming better by playing games. So when a goalkeeper is 30 they have been playing 10 years and had 400 games. If you bring the game moments to the practice then he is going to recognise these game moments much earlier in his career so he will need less time to reach his peak. Edwin van der Sar was the number one at 22. Valdes at 20. Reina at 20 too. These were all Goalkeepers who evolved in teams that worked integrated with the Goalkeepers, people still dont see how crucial it is to integrate GKs to training, it is what I do with my u16 GKs being a gk coach myself and I can see so much improvement in their own respective development plans.

I've got a question about that. What is his listed, official height? Transfermarkt lists him as 198 cm, which when i look at him compared to other keepers, that seems about right. However, there are some other sources that list him as around 192, which is right? I'm assuming 198.

What I love about this, is that the keepers, even though they are at the top of their game, are listening with so much intent to the coach. Added that the coach is giving some great feedback and advice and all keepers are working for, encouraging and helping each other. Such a positive environment to learn.

I want to start to play football again, I quit 3 years ago and that was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. I’m a goalkeeper too and before I quit I got trials for my home town Barrow and I didn’t get in. (That isn’t the reason I quit) the little thing that wasn’t making me a brilliant goalkeeper was my ability of not being able to dive on my weak side. I really need to be comfortable doing that then I’m going to ask to join again. Hopefully I can get up to international level that would be a dream come true!!
