Meh! Popeye is dry. That’s the restaurant problem. The Popeye where I’m at, well battered and juicy all the time. And if Popeye chicken is done right. Aw man! It is so much more flavorful than Jollibee. Another thing that Popeye does better also is 100% their fries. Jollibee dry and soggy msg fries is terrible compared to Popeye flavorful, flaky, soft and crunchy cajun fries. But who gives a f*ck? They’re both your average American (Yes ik Jollibee is from Philippines but still it’s system if a fast food chain derives from America) fast food chain that is there to make u obese anyways.

Statistically speaking, people tend to choose choice 2 or option 2 when its close or when theyre trying to break indecisiveness as seen in this video. This is almost perfect to what I have been saying to those who are trying to compare each food from the different brands. Although, I think you need to keep secret all of the information about each food most importantly the brand. Because giving them the idea about the brand name in the first place will make them more focused on remembering the taste of the food they want than letting there taste do it's job comparing the best flavor of each food they taste. Just reveal the brand name after all the participant tasted the food and made there votes.

Meh! I like Popeye better. Jollibee is more juice, but if Popeye chicken is done right. Man! Jollibee can’t compete. The spices and herb coated on Popeyes chicken is phenomenal. Popeyes cajun too are beyond the level of Jollibee. Jollibee fries really need to work on, they’re dry yet soggy most of the time I ordered, no flavor too, taste like they only sprinkle MSG on it.

I like jollibee because the breading is light plus the meat itself is juicy and falls off the bone whilst Popeyes may have more spices for flavors but that’s all breading and the meat is dry.

im a jollibee lover, had popeyes - during 90s or early 2000s during their first go in the PH - and it was meh and closed down. Had Popeyes in Singapore, Malaysia and it really tasted better somethings amiss with PH Popeyes. Now Popeyes is open again in PH, still not the same in other countries. Had it in US and doesnt even cones close to Jollibee. I havent had Jollibee in US so whos to say if quality is better there too. To each their own, some Jollibee branches have dry chicken as well - Jollibee company owned is really different from franchise owned 😢

taste test should be a controlled test.. not all the chicken parts taste the same especially the texture. You should have ordered drumstick or wings to make your taste test plausible. nice try though. for your next taste test if its sandwich, portion them or in half so the meat is where they will bite on and not just the bread. visual and taste are two separate factors.

The thigh part always have an advantage over the other parts of the chicken as it is tastier. So if the Popeye is a thigh part, it will taste better than the breast part of Jollibee.

I'm a Filo. For spicy chicken, I prefer KFC specifically from the Philippines but with gravy. spivy KFC in the PH actually competes with Jollibee (probably due to their unligravy); KFC original hold nothing agaisnt Jollibee tho. Without gravy, go Popeyes. For non-spicy, I prefer Jollibee wt gravy anywhere.
