I've eaten both, when I visited the mainland last year I ate a lot of Popeyes, I must admit the chicken joy (Jollibee) in the US tastes a bit different compared to the ones backhome. But, without a doubt Jollibee is way better than Popeyes. The fried chicken of Popeyes is dry and salty but still delicious of course on the other hand Jollibee is less salty, crispy and juicy. Hands down to these two but Jollibee is the winner for me.

It might be a cultural thing. When it comes to fried meats, salt (and sometimes with black pepper) is usually the only thing added because they want to taste the meat more than the seasonings/spices. My mom hates it when I add too many spices when I fry fish and pork and, of course, chicken because the spice should only enhance the meat's taste not overshadow it. I hope that makes sense. 😊

From the Philippines. Popeyes really has a taste that'll smack you straight up but the problem with that is they overdid the taste part and is even bordering on Sodium overload. As they say, too much of everything is bad. So even if it really tastes good, you just can't have it everyday. Jollibee's regular is a clear loser to the other 3 EVEN if I haven't tasted CHURCH'S yet I can say with finality thatnthe regular Jollibee chicken is gonna lose out BBUUUUTTTTTTT Jollibee's spicy fried chicken is a chicken you can eat everyday. It's delicious but not overpowering. Gravy, nothing beats KFC's. Buscuit, Popeyes all the way.
