The paint job on Lady Justice is great, looks very much like it is carved from stone, some really fine detail work on it as well, the scales of justice are so small but beautifully detailed.

That's a lot of comics! Fun video. There were about three keys you didn't mention, one was Secret Wars 7 first 2nd Spiderwoman. I can't remember the other two. My fave was the issue of Blue Devil that has the first appearance of Kid Devil. That's one I'm hoping to find in the dollar bin.

I love doing comic videos, if they are more popular on my channel I would do them more often. But I get them made here and there because I love them so much. I have so little time so I do not get to read nearly as many as I want let alone all the ones I collect.

Dont worry about value to much then if you are overwhelmed. Just focus on finding your favorite characters for cheap or anything that is interesting to you. Eventually you will be an expert at digging through bins of comics.

Its definitely about the research and hunting a lot eventually you will know what to grab when you see it and you will find places that get comics regularly. And remember to ask alot, some of the best deals I ever found was when I asked if they had any comics they were selling at garage sales etc.

Thanks for another great video! I love the Gerber Photo Guides, a must have for any serious collector. Volumes 3 and 4 are all Marvel from the silver age all the way up to the mid 80's.

@@popfuntoplay Yeah they are really special. Who is your favorite copper age artist? I Really like the art from Todd McFarlane and Jim lee from the copper age.

Copper Age probably Sergio Aragones, Arthur Adams, Bill Sienkiewicz, Dale Keown, John Byrne, Barry Windsor Smith. I am sure I am forgetting a few that I love. I love Jim Lee but I don't think I rally started liking his work until the 2000s His earlier work is good but his later work is fantastic. I also do enjoy Todd McFarlanes Spider-Man. I was just not a fan of the glitzy Image era so a lot of those artist like Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane I have a hard time appreciating their earlier Image work etc. But later it becomes fantastic.

Hey, this might be a pretty stupid question. But I figured you might know and might be able to offer some tips. I'm going to be trying to buy the last three 12 Days Pops, and is there any tips or anything I should do or not do to up my chances of getting them? I saw how fast today's sold out and it's got me all anxious haha. I'm not sure if you buy them but if so, got any tips? Sorry if it's a dumb question or you don't buy them separately or at all. Part 2... Oh great, you have Ms. Mystic #1 from PC Comics, that's her first app. Usually Vol 2 is much easier to find than the vol 1 miniseries. Later on she was published by continuity, kind of an underrated character if you ask me. The amethyst books you have there, those are from the regular series after the 12-issue Maxi series. Alpha Flight 19 is a first appearance of Talisman I think. Alpha flight 24 is a minor key as well. The FF # 286 is kind of a big key worth about $15 or so in mid-grade, I think it has to do with the dark Phoenix Saga. Daredevil 232 is the first nuke.

Actually regarding your slabbed issue of Marvel Super Heroes 12, yes it's Mar-Vel's first appearance and Danvers herself as in the next issue as u say, but Mar-Vell wasn't around for 50 years in that role. I believe that particular character died in the 80s in a very famous magazine size book The Death of Captain Marvel. X Factor 4 is not the cameo/brief app of Apocalypse, that's Issue 5 and the First full is in Issue 6. Amazing Spidey 210 is of course the first Madame web. And I think I've mentioned before the secret Wars 5 and 6 are the Cameo and first app of the second Spider-Woman if memory serves. X-Men 184 is a key book, but I don't remember which it is. Batman 359 is not the first Killer Croc, it's early appearance, but it's his origin story. That Ghost Rider 1 is the first Dan Ketch. Those Green Lantern comics with some of the GL Corps back up stories are the first appearances of some minor characters in The corps. And the actual title of the short run series is the tales of the Green Lantern Corps, I think the mini-series ran about 4 to 6 issues and had 3 annuals. I want to say all of these had first appearances in them. Iron Man 189 and 191 are minor key issues , I remember the first one is the first app of villain termite. Jemm son of Saturn 1 is the first app of the titular character. He's not used much at all but pretty fun character. Strikeforce morituri... you said it exactly right! Nice. Wow, that Strawberry Shortcake issue of the star imprint for Marvel is quite difficult to find, especially in good condition. And the first issue of super powers mini series, I think that's the first appearance of the DC Animated Universe. Terminator 1 for Now Comics is the first appearance of the Terminator robots in comics . You'll need to check which one it is, but I think that Nightcrawler mini series is the first appearance of a dark version of him called Bampff.

The second issue of Elvira House of Mystery that you showed was the Dave Stevens cover but don't quote me on that because you went past it so quickly. GI Joe 25 and 26 or is it 26 and 27 are the Snake Eyes origin issues. They have gone for a couple bucks. You also had ASM 265 which is............. First Silver Sable? You seem to get a lot of copies of Secret Wars 8!!! I can't find that book for a reasonable price anywhere. That was a fun haul video to watch. I love the randomness of those long boxes

The secret wars series was highly printed so they are out there, keep hunting you will eventually get a #8. I tend to buy it a few times a year. I have to double check, remember thinking the Elivira was an awesome cover but did not connect that it was the Dave Stevens issue that sells for more. Thanks for all the info, Much appreciation. That new mutants is more like 500$... I have been searching and can’t fine anything near 200$ cheapest I have seen is 350$ is poor condition .. I have seen graded 8-9.0 close to 1k !

Prices are way lower now compared to the peak that hit during the last movie. You can buy a 9.6 right now for $500. The ones in this condition it has a few flaws that bring it down to a 7-8 range would sell in the $160-$180 range. Check ebay sold I see a ton of raw issues in decent shape similar to this selling in the 150-200 range

That is really high price for them now, the prices has dropped a ton on ebay. You can get a 9 or better on ebay for that price. You come across enough bargain deals, I suggest waiting on 98. It is so common that I refused to buy one until I got a great deal.

When handling older comics you should wear latex gloves. The oils in your hands can really damage the comic.

My hands are actually pretty low on oil levels and I wash them before handing comics. Its actually just as likely to damage an old piece of paper with gloves on because you have less sense of touch so your more likely to rip them etc. I minimize my handling and try to get everything into bags and boards as soon as I can.

Your Roy Rogers comics are between $50 to $100 possibly higher. Patsy Walker is between $100-$160. Thats according to Overstreet's Price Guide. You made your money back for sure.

I just ran out of room in the office to sort and film so I started finally sorting my X-Men collection which was a ton of work (Pulled out 17 short boxes of duplicates) and then the holiday craziness and getting a few colds really made it impossible to get any video made. I am dying to make more video though so hopefully very soon.

No, I end up making less then minimum wage per hour worked, but what I am good at is finding great deals on collections then I sell off what I do not want to pay for what I keep. If I was rich it would be a lot easier to collect then making youtube videos and finding collections to sell.

I'm really doubting the values your giving to the comic. Someone has to fork over the money irrespdctive of price guide. U have paid money for the comic already. U could hood onto comic for years and get less than what u paid. That would extend to multiple comics. I'm thinking u would have lost a lot of money here just saying.

Honestly have no idea what you are talking about lol If you pay cover price for comics most likely you will loose a otn of money over time. I buy collections that are cheap.
