Porcelain dolls take us back to an era some time ago, but keeping the art alive in Nanoose Bay is porcelain doll maker Maureen Lampard.

I prefer vintage porcelain dolls more than barbie dolls, because they look very elegant and dainty

People say that porcelain dolls are creepy. HOW? they are fricking adorable. I collect them. I have 22 and I love them all so much. I’m 13 and when I’m older I’m gonna be a porcelain dollmaker.

I became aware of porcelain dolls when I helped my mother pick toys our relatives. I noticed how classy they looked in their fashionable clothes compared to the half naked typical doll. I think when handing a child a toy a lot of thought should go into what image and ideals are involved within it. This video just made me have higher respect about porcelain dolls.

Zilverbolt Malproximate but they are collectors items and not really suitable as a play doll for a child for various reason the main one being they are made of breakable porcelain

Beautiful dolls! I love repurposing mass produced porcelain dolls into my OOAK Gothic Girls & Guys. Though mine pale by comparison, I appreciate her passion for making the dolls and the costumes!

Victorian antique dolls are very vintage, but they look creepy to me. I don't think I'm pediaphobia.
@Mia-md3io8 жыл бұрын
some are reallly creepy but some are so innocent and angelic. i think it depends on the eyes and smile

And why victorian dolls never smile? Why they don't design them looking happy??? Do all antique dolls have rosy red cheeks and big marble eyes???

Jumeau did a series of dolls I think in the 1890s called 'series fantastique'. These dolls were made to emulate the kind of facial expressions that children often make. Some are smiling, one pokes her tongue out, some others are crying.

I can see why you are scared of it, but try not to judge it just because of their face, look at each part of them, how fine and detailed the body was mold, the dress was sewn, and everything else
