I really like hearing the detailed explanations of what looks different between the antique dolls and the 80s one. Seeing you change her really made it clear.

Wow such a fun makeover! I would not have thought to do this but now I may try it. She looks really cute. We need more ways to repurpose the abundant mass produced porcelain dolls from the 80’s. Thank you. 🥰

What a beautiful dress and boots! I like the Gretchen wigs too. I have used unscented baby wipes to clean dolls for at least 20 years, and prefer them to chemical cleaners unless absolutely necessary! Your doll turned out beautifully!

Wow, crazy how not a lot can really change the doll!! I have recently become interested in Victorian and Edwardian era porcelain dolls and they are so cool! Pretty different from my usual 1950’s doll collection but maybe I’ll get one.

Yes! I hope you do! I often see them in thrift shops ready for a makeover and their next chapter. If you do, lmk! 💕

Thank you!! I will. If your doll is beloved, you may want to experiment on a tlc thrift doll first. Thanks for your support! 💕

Mister super clear matte will fix the makeup on. All my custom Blythe dolls are done with it and it’s basically the only brand recommended by most customize Blythe doll makers.

It’s kinda sad that porcelain dolls are not fully rooted, but WIGS 😢 just like Korean dolls. Thrift stores has a lot of original 90’s barbies in good condition still unbox 😊

Rooted is fun, but you might like wigs too! Cause you can change hair color and style in a split second! 💕

@@MaggieToTheRescue YES 👍 Rerooting isn’t just fun, it’s also a relief of changing or transforming dolls hair either it’s thick or longer
