The first time you hear this song, you are struck by the shear beauty and greatness. It moves from your ears to your heart to your soul and you need to hear it again or you will not be able to go on living. The second time you are compelled to understand what it's about. You research the lyrics, you google the meaning. You realize there is literally a cult around it and you are already in it. From there on, the joy of this song is all ANTICIPATION for each chord, verse, chorus, pause...a rollercoaster of goosebumps and heartache from start to finish. 100% brilliant masterpiece.

At 5:26 a fan yells "Yea" and it supercharged me (and the crowd). But, if you know Steve, you know that he doesn't like spontaneous vocalizations from the audience (at 5:26 I also cringed with this knowledge). I was once at a show in NYC when someone yelled out like that. Steve halted the music and admonished the guy. After that moment, you could hear a pin drop (we had all been roundly chastised like a bunch of little kids). He then started the song from the beginning and on went the night into glorious, ecstatic PT oblivion.
