I can never get enough. This version is very impressive. Single guitarist. Very smooth.

It's just great with the rant and that shirt... perfectly ironic, with just the perfect mixture of weird.

I love this because I feel the exact same way he does. Steven Wilson is one of my favorite musicians and Porcupine Tree is my favorite band of all time. But what kind of glasses is Steven wearing here?

Thank you so much for posting this. I was at this show and it was a great performance. I knew there was more video out there besides the "Shesmovedon" that has been posted for quite some time. As for the "poor audience reaction" comment, they got a great audience reaction which is why the band did 3 encores. It just doesn't come through well on this video.

@MisteriosaVampiria I know! Every time is like my first concert. I saw Steven in November for his Grace for Drowning tour and I was blown away!!! I cannot wait to see him or PT again. Also, I don't know if you saw but GfD just won Album of the Year by Popmatters and second best album of the year in Classic Prog Rock magazine. :)

Agreed. I just love what he said. Lol PT is just soooo amazing in every way! And they're only getting better and better. I live Maitland, but Gavin Harrison is just off the charts.

@MisteriosaVampiria Lucky to find them so early. It took me some time, since I live in a musically bankrupt home and town. I was like 16 or so? I'm 21 now. This band opened me up to so many other amazing artists. I'm incredibly grateful to have heard them and seen them live.

The irony of a rant about boy/girl bands from an androgynous-looking Steven Wilson wearing a crop-top! :D By the way, i like this song better with Gavin Harrison on the drums. This one is nice too but not as crisp!
@PatrickBuzoDrums7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this drummer doesn't really do it for me. I could have come up with those parts. Gavin always does unexpected stuff.

Maitland is good, but not as good as Harrison. A part of the band's history, just not one of the best modern drummers

@MisteriosaVampiria It is! It's weird to feel proud for a musician, but I think he deserves it. I can hardly help myself. I think he's brilliant. I'd love to meet him.

Thanks for the video: finally got a chance (albeit a limited one) to compare Gavin w/ Maitland and although Maitland is good Gavin is truly a cut above.
@splendiferosity13 жыл бұрын
@MisteriosaVampiria No, that's totally understandable. I have a similar feeling towards him. I feel like he writes music that hear and feel inside of my head. It's weird. It's like he can put into words things I can't. At the risk of sounding like I'm 14, it feels like he's writing what I would. PT and Steven's work just syncs up with my life in a way few other musicians do. Also, I envy your guitar pick. It's a dream of mine to meet this man. I'm totally in love. It's pretty lame.

Colin Edwin has not changed one single little bit, has he? Still just the most chill bassist out there 😊 You can really hear, if you're a Fish fan like me, Steven Wilson's influence on Sunsets On Empire and Raingods With Zippos, both of which SW produced. All of Lightbulb Sun, but Hatesong in particular, sounds like it was lifted out of Sunsets. The man's a genius. It's such a shame he's become so pretentious.

Maitland sounds really good. I'd honestly never listened to anything earlier than gavin so this was new to me. He doesn't play fills and double kick like gavin but he's solid and he's def got skills. Some of the vocal effect is pretty obnoxious. Oh well. Long live PT

Jonathan Jensen I suspect it was the style change. In Absentia was really the first prog-metal album so maybe Maitland's style didn't suit.

With In Absentia they've got a new contract which included extensive touring. Old drummer for some reasons couldn't commit himself that much so he left.
