I am a through and through Calcuttan and take pride in the variety of the food scene in the City of joy. However I find many of these are overhyped and overpriced, at least overhyped in their present-day form. Not saying this in particular about the pork chops at Trincas as I havent tried it but it applies to Peter cats chello kebab for example. Agree these places and their signature dishes stoke nostalgia for those who care about it but the dishes may not necessarily delight your palate!

Nothing could be more disrespectful to an artiste, when you are busy doing everything else( you are,in fact enjoying your food) except enjoying the performance or appreciating it. So I am not a big fan of these musical performances at restaurants. A low volume recorded music is, I guess the right recipe for a good ambience.
