Thank you for this video and with the quick comparison to the Haro Fusion cranks. I'm going to try these on the Haro Fusions, as well, to see if they fit - as they should. I've been looking for a while for some Titanium replacement spindle bolts for the Haros because the black bolts look hideous on the polished cranks.

@Perfektg TLC bikes out of England was making the Titanium spindle bolts for the Haro/Primo/GT cranks. I have a set of them and they are very nice. However something happened to their company. Not sure exactly what but the name changed to TBB bikes and they don’t offer the spindle bolts any longer. shop.tbb-bike.com/tlc-bikes/# You can try and reach out to them directly. Otherwise your only option is to sand off the black oxide coating from the stock bolts. Then polish them. I’ve done dozens of them for people and they come out nice and hold up. Good luck

Thanks for the informative videos, been going through your channel. Could you do a video on how to install the repop cranks like how you did with the OG cranks?

It’s on my list, the tricky part is articulating how to measure and cut the spacer tube for the bottom bracket. If you want to forego installing the spacer tube then the actual repop cranks are super easy to install. Stay tuned!

@@atrains Yeah, regarding that spacer, it sounds like one of those situations where you remove a little material and check, remove a little more and check, and so on and so forth until the fit is perfect. Key being not to remove too much too soon. I look forward to the video!

I’m trying to install these cranks. I’ve had no problem with the spacer between the bearings. My problem is the bolt that goes through the sprocket to the RH crank arm. When I install the bolt, it pulls the sprocket out of line and wobbles a lot. Is there supposed to be a washer behind it to keep it flat? I tried putting the bolt in the crank arm before but the head diameter is too large to fit the hole in the sprocket. I’m losing my composure. It should have had a fixed bolt in the crank arm like the OG cranks.

I ordered these a few days ago but cancelled right away because i didnt like that the head didnt sit flush or out more in some pics i saw of people complaining about the same thing. Porkchop said they were listening so im sure now they've seen both videos. Hopefully they revise these later. 👍

I emailed Justin at Porkchop and they are aware. Revision in the future most likely.

OIC, so this is what I’m gonna need to replace the bolts on mine if Porkchop decides to ship them overseas!

Yup I thought about that. I bet there is a work around for that but it involves a third party. Pm me on the BMXMUSEUM and I’ll explain how I think you can get them.

I really do not think titanium bolts on the cranks will improve the performance of the cranks. The weight of the crank arms and spindle are so heavy they mask out the few grams you lose with these titanium bits. There is just not enough angular momentum when pedaling to notice a difference. Now titanium parts would benefit the wheel hubs which spin a lot faster than cranks. I would love to see someone produce them for the new GT Superlace ones.

Roger that. I don’t believe I banked on the bolts offering a performance increase. It’s mainly aesthetics over the black oxide bolts. They are lighter than the OG bolts though. Is it going to matter at the end of the day? No. But you get the corrosion resistance and benefits of the titanium being lighter. It makes the cranks look more like the OG parts. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Great info! Watched all the GT Power series vids. Ok so im restoring my Dyno & wanna get the new power series crank. Like the reissue here. It has a 19mm spindle correct? So which BB kit do i get? One shows use w 19mm? All the spacers w a BB kit will adapt my GT OG cheese grater sprocket? The GT BB i found on web is 22mm but a Theory brand has a 19mm offering. Am i on right track?

Hey I was wrong. I figured it out. The NEW GT PS cranks are 22mm. And the GT BB are too. I looked at something wrong.

Yes the Reissued alloy GT Power series cranks are 22mm spindle so you would need a 22mm American bottom bracket for that to work. I suggest something other than GT. I prefer Primo because the bearings are not pressed into the cups. The spacer tube that is required to support the bearings can be measured and cut easier that way. If you use the GT bottom bracket you will have a difficult time getting the spacer tube sized up correctly. I’m going to make an install video for them one day. Now you can leave the spacer sleeve out and ride, it won’t fail per se. My 26” GT Pro Performer didn’t have it from the factory. It’s just that you want to support the bearing races. Again it’s up to you but I have many many miles on mine without any issues at all.
