Replacement of the front to rear coolant pipe. Rubber doughnut for the front propshaft replaced.

Glad you solved it!! And it didn't involve having to replace a rad (the diagnosis from 2 x garages was almost right -ish, and wasn't something internal to engine, phew!). Hope you had a great time at Le Mans, looking forward to the videos!!

Yes pleased it wasn't a cylinder liner. That would have been expensive. Le man's was great and 911 performed well.

Quick question...if you leave the reservoir bleeder open (in the up position) and drive the car, does water come out of it? I had read a while back that you can just open it and drive the car and it will "self bleed" . Then you just stop and top up the coolant and you're good-to-go. Does this work or are you just asking for a mess in the engine compartment? Thanks, -Tom.

Tom. Absolutely correct. You can drive around for a few days or as long as it takes to bleed, no water will come out. Just drive as normal. Keep a check on it and carry some water to top up when cold. Once you stop topping up pop it back down. It can take a few cycles of hot and cold to bleed.
