Just ordered a ton of fluids from you guys, Trans Kit, Both Diff fluid kits, and also Transfer case kit. All Liquid Moly Products besides the transfer case went Porsche for that. So excited to put them in my Cayenne !

Thanks for the video. I am living in Munich/Germany and I own a 2007 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. Have to replace the Front Brake Rotors soon. This video will be superhelpful.

Hi, really good guide. On my 997 2005 C2S I have replaced rotors (Sebro brand), pads (ferodo brand) and all the brakes hardware and accessories following your instructions. After 600km still noise when I gently brakes at low speed only. How can I solve it? Please advise

I heard the ferodo brakes are suppose to be a little bit noisy.

Don’t forget to refill the brake fluid and reinstall the reservoir cap!

How do you handle the brake line connection to the caliper on a 2010 4S? There is no easy 10mm bolt to remove as pictured here. Do I need to disconnect the brake line at the caliper and let it drain? Clamp it? Leave it on and bend the line back?

Would the rear wheel brake job is similar to front? I have a 2007 Carrera cab. Anything different on older models?

A similar process, we have a rear 997 video as well if you want to use it for reference!

Hi Illidio, we have a video for that in our Porsche Playlist, very straight forward and easy to do! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGm1h2enh619jMk

What exactly do the caliper shims do ?
@fcpeuro
@fcpeuro 3 жыл бұрын
Hey CAYMAN987, Pad shims are there to help reduce noise from vibrations between the pads and pistons in the calipers. They mainly act as a small buffer.

You didn’t bleed the brakes??…
@fcpeuro
@fcpeuro 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, great question! They were indeed bled, however, Mike may or may have not forgotten to mention that to us, and did it without filming 😓

No need to bleed it. He never opened the system, so the lines never got air in them.
