Nice informative video. I had a Volkswagen Beetle who's drain ports were set up the exact same way. Same exact process. Just be slow, and careful with the weed wacker line. If the drain tubes are older, and brittle, the line could puncture a hole in it, and eventually leak water into the car.

I have a 997 cab and this will definitely help. Thanks for the info.
@CarFanatic3 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, please note that the cab has a different set of rear drains. With the top partially open, there should be a drain hole on each side. These drains exit in front of the rear wheels in the wheel wells. I would also check all around the rear wheel wells as well as I believe there are a total of 4 rear drains on the cabs.

These drain ports are really overlooked by Porsche owners as part of their regular maintenance. Note weed wakker string in UK is strimmer cable.

Very interesting. Are there drain holes relating to the aircon condenser? I am getting some fogging from my windscreen vents which suggest there is moisture in there. Not much info around about this, so would appreciate your thoughts.

Truly appreciate your video my friend. I had a serious water intrusion into the cabin of my 09 C4S. Upon tracking it down, I discovered that the drain ports that you've modified have seemingly been removed and only the openings remain. Could this conceivably be the source of my water intrusion? I believe to have an issue as well at the rear as my floor/carpeting is wet behind my passenger rear seat. I have considerable water infiltration at this juncture. Amp, fuse box, wiring corrosion, etc. So far, only the PCM/Amp have been affected. I'm certain more systems will be affected for sure. I was wondering if they're any drain tubes within the A pillars of a Cabriolet to assist with drainage as well? I have a massive undertaking ahead of me & want to resolve any water intrusion issues before I embark on "Project Lazarus". Lol! Thanks much in advance for any insight you can lend or offer in this regard. Rodd

Good. Another method is to get hold of thick'ish MIG welding wire. A long piece will reach all the way through.
@CarFanatic3 жыл бұрын
I would caution against that as it could accidentally puncture the drain hose.

is this the same for 991?
