Here's the simple fact: Tellurides are, by and large, very reliable vehicles. ALL vehicle makes and models have their issues. I have a 2018 Camry that has been great (purchased used) but has had 3-4 recalls itself since I bought it back in 2019, if memory serves. And that's top-shelf Toyota "reliability". Not a single problem with it otherwise. Would I refuse to buy a vehicle simply because of a few recalls? Hell no. At least the manufacturer is addressing the potential issues. That said, Kia DOES have a reputation for having sucky post-sale customer service. I'm hoping that's not the case, as just today I closed on a 2021 Telluride SX Prestige w/60K miles. The remaining powertrain warranty is in effect, and since it's a CPO, I get a 1 year/12K warranty. Frankly, I'm not worried in the least (touching wood) and looking forward to happily owning, driving and maintaining it to 200,000 miles. Sorry about Car Fanatic's unfortunate experience with his Telluride. But again, do a search. You'll find similar videos on just about every.single.vehicle.

I have a 2021 telluride. Just a month ago it started leaking oil. Very disappointing, but still love the car because the interior is exactly what I've always wanted in a three row suv. 8 seater with a roomy third row. None of the suvs in its class, and even some in the classes above, have the 3rd row legroom that matches the telluride.

Have great respect for my tire shop here in SoCal who for over 40 years sells to upscale owners Porsche AMG BMW etc For my C7 Corvette GS street / track car just got another set of the Continentals / the new Xtreme Contact 02’s They said although their clients always bought Michelins they ( especially the Porsche guys ) have switched to Continental If I trailer the car to the track and want best lap times I use the DOT Goodyear 3R’s like I track on my McLaren But the Continentals good enough and allow me to drive to the track

In all fairness, all manufacturers have issues with their first model year. The difference is Hyundai and Kia are actually doing recalls on their own without always waiting for lawsuits unlike the rest (including Toyota who has been habing insane issues recently)

Can you extract the oil from the filter housing (after filter has been removed obviously), easier than poking a tube down the dipstick hole?

It sounds like you may have bought a bad one. I have the exact year and model. Yes I had the recalls. But none of the other issues.

I have a 2015 Kia Optima SXL turbo the engine finally blew at 60 K due to the engine deburring process when the block was milled. A brand new motor now. The paint is delaminating and coming off all over the car. Has not been the best car for sure. Meticulous oil changes garaged and kept clean. Now my girlfriend wants one of those 2025 Hyundai Palisades. I’m very nervous to get one.

It doesn’t work! Why this video is not showing the motor sucking out the oil? It is showing only the tube while drawing the oil.

I believe I have the same car, and I think I got the correct service manual for the car, and my service manual says to torque them to 23Nm, which is about 16.96 ft-lb, so that 15ft lb is a little hmmm. (The car is 2012 Mercedes Benz C 250 Sedan (204.047) L4-1.8L Turbo (271.860))

Great dollar value for the Kia, however - would recommend the Toyota or Honda vehicle equivalent perhaps for your next vehicle. Hopefully your Kia issues gets sorted out for you.

What's the point? Even a 20 year old Honda Civic can go up the same hill with same icy condition if you have a pair of good winter or snow tires. It is the dumbest test I have ever seen.

What on earth are you talking about dude?😂 The Kia's eAWD is trash compared to the Porsche system. You said it yourself - your Porsche got over the dual hump with 0 trouble, that's where the AWD system came into play. It's not Porsches fault you ran it on worn down sport all-seasons compared to brand new ones. Maybe leave the 'comparisons' to people willing to set an equal playing field with matched tires and equal ground.

this is poor people mental gymastics masquerading as math our HHI is 750k. I drive a used giulia that i bought for 25k cash. None of my peers at work or in the industry have anything remotely close to a 100k car that a porsche would go for. Once you make 250k, the math becomes simple: how can I save as much money as quickly as possible to get out of the rat race? Buying a depreciating asset is the reverse of that plan Once I clear 4 million and my investment returns clear 200k a year, I'll buy a porsche in cash

Thank you for the video. Regarding the drive belt squealing in cold starts, did you managed to get that fixed or the dealer to Opine what to do with that in terms of needing to address it? I have the same issue. It only happens when it’s cold out while starting up.
