In the UK, 996 prices dipped very slightly (by maybe £1-2k) and now you're looking at slightly higher than 2021, at least at the bottom end. I'll be going fishing in the 996T! 😁

You have the best content out there, but I don't like the tricky title😅 when you say something flat lines that means very negative but just it being a straight line is a little inconclusive!

As an owner of both a 996 Carrera and recently a 996 Turbo S. I believe the market value has reached bottom and the values of the 996s are going to go up again. They’re still under appreciated. I bought my Carrera in 4/2021 for 15,200 USD. It’s worth much more now. The TT was bought for 60k with 68k miles.

Just sold my 992 Turbo S for slightly more than I paid for it 11 months ago. A good spec car will always sell? It was helped by the large price increase of a new one. Mine was £193,000 new. The same car today is £215,000.

@TinMan-kd2gv Жыл бұрын
Congrats on the purchase. However I’m a bit concerned to why only 4k miles for a 9 years old car. Garage Queen may be low mileage but also not good. According to Porsche, the car should be driven with a minimum of 15 miles everyday. I have a 17 Turbo S and daily drive the heck out of it at 60k miles.

Porsche is going to deliver more cars in 2023 than any other year in history. Used Porsche values have primarily remained elevated because new cars have been unavailable, but that's changing. They've fixed their supply chain issues. I expect we'll see further drops from this. The bumps you're seeing are seasonal.
@Gotadime92 Жыл бұрын
@@BobC59 Are you saying you disagree about how many cars Porsche will deliver in 2023? Because that isn't speculation on my part - it was in the news a couple weeks ago. You can even check Porsche's own press releases on this. It's all a matter of supply and demand. This will increase supply, while rates and economic conditions restrict demand. It's a compounding effect, and will add to the depreciation trend that has already started. I agree that they're great cars and you can really rack up the miles on them. That doesn't mean they won't depreciate. Let's not forget, 10 years ago it was common for a 911 to depreciate ~60% in its first 3 years.
@amosmoses2094 Жыл бұрын
They are not delivering more 911s than ever before. If they do the build quality has been down since 2020, so we'll see. Definitely not going to affect used market. Too .uch of a price difference too.
@Gotadime92 Жыл бұрын
@@amosmoses2094 Did you read Porsche's press release? Here are some quotes: "In the first quarter, Porsche delivered 80,767 cars to customers worldwide - more than ever before. This represents an increase of 18 per cent compared to the previous year." "The iconic 911 sports car still remains a customer favourite: 11,063 examples went out to customers worldwide (+19 per cent)" "In North America, Porsche delivered 19,651 vehicles to customers, a gain of 30 per cent." They're delivering record numbers of everything this year, including 911s, and it's especially focused on North America.
@BobC59 Жыл бұрын
@@Gotadime92 Sorry, I wasn't clear. I disagree the bumps are seasonal, but I cannot argue that prices have been elevated due to lack of new supply - that's a global fact. But I think used Porsches (pre-4-cyl era for Boxster/Cayman in particular) will maintain strong values because a) it takes ~100k to get one with a flat six engine now, and b) new Porsche prices continue to rise into and beyond the stratosphere, pushing more and more people who want that level of sports automobile into the used market.

Please evaluate the following: I am particularly interested in the 2023 911 Turbo S Cabriolet which I have been following for the last 9 months and have to say that the 2021 through 2023 prices are significantly above their original MSRP...I mean insanely higher. Why? I ended up buying a 2023 for $40k over MSRP which is about where the whole US market is right now. 2024s are almost impossible to get and the blame keeps being on chip shortages and the end of Ukraine made wire harness . This will be my last Porsche. Don't get me wrong...I'll enjoy it fully but am still astonished at the pricing and suspect Biden has at least something to do with it. 2/23/24
