I'd love to meet them at a show sometime, sound like great car people. Good production quality as usual, and one of the better reviews on the drivability of the 918. I've not seen anyone review getting into the car previously, and having driven in one a few times myself, it's the first thing I tell everyone about, me being 6'3 and 230, it is a chore to enter, but SO worth it. Good think you kept that speed under control too, ha ha.

Dude I know how you feel when you say its hard to talk when driving the 918. I had the opportunity to drive an Audi R8 V10 when I was stationed in Germany( once in a lifetime experience) and I looved it. The engine noise(God yes!) the way the car behaves the interior the look on the outside , its awe inspiring. intimidating at first but they seem to just hug u in and say get on it get on it! lol Major kudos on your first exotic and man what an exotic she was... keep it up we love what you do.

Now at first i was completely blown away by the p1. when i watched chris harris beat it up around yas i was sparkled eyed and could not get over it. After a while i started to notice just how refined and absolutely mind blowing the 918 truly is. This is one of the few cars that will be remember as the ultimate pinnacle of automotive achievements, along with the other two. it's just that I would pick this over the laf and p1 blindfolded because it's just so damn perfect Thank you for sharing this dream with us my friend, happy driving! -HP

Its a brilliant car for certain, but believe it or not, im a bit torn on its looks. Yes it looks incredible but their is a flaw in its design. The 918's design is a rework of the old Porsche Carerra GT. That car was a jaw dropper when it arrived back in early 2k, but since the 918 has much of its design DNA, it already suffers from seeming, a bit dated, despite the vehicle, is in fact new. Its the same problem that the current Viper had. looking so much like the original that it quickly seems to be a much older car.

engines with similar engine layouts will sound similar. they are both flat plane cranks so yes they will sound similar. just like how inline 5s sound like half of a v10, it's because they fire in a similar order and with 5 cylinders it makes sense.

Haha, I remember when they let me sit inside of this car at PVGP. When getting out, Elizabeth told me that I may need to step on the massive carbon fiber doorsill to avoid bruising myself. I refused to make any contact with that tub since the car was more expensive. But the biggest highlight? That performance. Blisteringly fast off the line and at Laguna Seca. What an amazing machine.
