Porsche 944 Crank Sensor Conundrum

In a perfect world, changing the speed and reference sensors on a 944 is a relatively painless procedure, but sadly we do not live in a perfect world and this car is a prime example of that. Everything was routed wrong between the engine and the firewall so it fought us every step of the way, but after putting our heads together we were able to figure out how to get it back together properly. Why would we not just take the intake manifold off? Well over the 15+ years Tim has been doing this, he's figured out 9.5/10 times it's better to just suffer.

My shop charges more per hour to work on turbos.

i used a set of 15'' long nose locking pliers- worked great for both sensors-took about 20min extra on the rear sensor with penetrating oil and patience...

I had a mechanic rip the reference sensors off the flywheel which resulted in a new mechanic and a new flywheel.

Just replaced the bracket and also ordered new sensors the crank sensor (one closet to front of vehicle) is siting to loose in its hole. Are the part number for the spped and crank sensor different?
