I remember watching one of the earlier WEC races in 2018, and being completely in shock after hearing that Porsche fly by. It drowned out every other car, maybe with the exception of the LMP2’s. Definitely the best and craziest sounding car Porsche has ever made.

Personally the best RSR ever was the 911 and it was getting better each year,I think that last RSR was the best of the best (nice rear end BTW)

I’ll be so excited if I was there I want to go to one, but I don’t know where they have them they used to have in Sonoma California, but they stopped it so Laguna sake is too far one of these years. I hope that some day the GT3 R that they use now for LMGT3/GTD Pro gets the same treatment as the RSR did for 17-19. Probably won’t happen, but we can always hope

It probably won’t happen because the GT3 R races at tracks with a decibel limit. Though the 992 GT3 R could definitely do with a upgrade in volume. I was at Zandvoort GTWC and I didn’t even notice there were Porsches racing because they just got drowned out by the Audi’s, Lamborghini’s and even the Honda’s and Ferrari’s.

It's the "true" Porsche sound, sounds almost like a 996 GT3 RSR (but louder), the high pitched sound came only after the 997 era

As far as I know it won't be racing anywhere from now on. But you never know. There might be some championship that will allow GTE cars to race again. I assume you could see one at Goodwood doing some demo laps.
