Im in the process of buying 997tt manual. You should have had a separate price for “need” items, vs “want items”. For example big items like wheels and seats and upgraded turbos and coolers, were want. Coolant pipes and cam thats a need. The one im looking at had the coolant mod done, but a cam is something im concerned about. Im def gonna get wheels, but thats a want. Id say 991 steering wheel is a big want. Power wise, i sort of think cars are overpowered nowadays, unusable power, so id prefer stock power levels, but with maybe rwd conversion 🤷♂️ my current e63 wagon 600hp stock, so much unusable power tbh… i had a c6z06 (in germany thankfully), i cant imagine having it in the states, 1st gear 60mph is nuts, id like to row through gears without getting a big prison ticket (wasnt a problem in germany, but stateside wouldve been).

@NSXavier9972 ай бұрын
@@notabenex1 thanks for watching! The video makes it seem like I hated the Kline but I actually didn’t hate it I liked it for what it was… it’s just that the BBi was way better in my opinion. As far as best mods I’d say it’s definitely the upgraded turbos, intercoolers and gt2 slave cylinder + upgraded clutch. Those just make the car so fun. As far favorite mods I’d say the GT2 seats and BBS wheels.

There's one thing that's a huge expense that's not listed for us mere mortals who can't drop the engine and install upgraded turbos, lol- and thats allll the labor you did. That alone is worth a ton. So to the guys out there who aren't as mechanically inclined, this build would be closer to o$200k+.
@NSXavier9972 ай бұрын
I appreciate the recognition of labor costs. In all honesty if I wasn't able to do what I'm able to, I don't think the car would be sitting in the form that it is now, as all of the money I used for the mods would have gone towards labor.

@@frederickcook87 that’s the beauty of the Porsche option parts like seats, ceramic brakes and other stuff like that - they all hold a certain value and have the potential of increasing in value.. it’s nice knowing that you can basically park your $ in some awesome parts that increases the performance and aesthetics of your car while also being able to enjoy a tangible item. You got yours for 75k? Man the prices are crazy now. Looking on cargurus the cheapest 997 Turbo is 97k, the next is 99k, and its all 100k+ from there. This is a nationwide search. Any recommendations for trying to find my Porsche? I'd love a turbo, but they seem so out of reach for me. 70-75k would be what I'd like to spend ideally, just doesn't seem realistic in todays marketplace.
@NSXavier9972 ай бұрын
@@spoon8890 Yea looking back at everything and what I got the car for it seems that I had bought it at the right time.. even though at the time I thought I was overpaying for it. My best advice is to do what you have to in order to get what you really want. If that means saving up a bit more then I’d recommend that over settling for something that you can get right now. It’ll make you happier in the end. Take a look at the private party sale listings for the car on the forums. Some good deals pop up from time to time. 🍻
@SF_Native2 ай бұрын
@@spoon8890 they’re only getting higher. You might find a high mileage one for 90ish, but 997 Turbos are no longer in that price range.
