Same here, when I was looking to buy one a few years back, the engines are designed to be pushed hard. Just needs to be warmed up first.

Definitely get one before they blow up in price as they are already a classic. I’d recommend the 3.2 over the 2.5 though!

You should have dropped the oil pan, than you would have known for sure ... I did this with the first oil change on my 996.1 carrera and was pleasantly surprised.

Cut the filter open and check the inside ..when my 996 ims was failing it was the inside of the filter that I found the shavings

How would the shavings get on the inside? The filter works from the outside in

Sump gasket (silicone sealant) is hang off all over the place...wonder how much is in the sump 😮

Why would you do an oil change if the tensioner is going to leak out that fresh oil anyways... I'd of done it after replacing the tensioner oil seal.

Don't think I missed it...but when are you going to fix the actual oil leak? Just wondering why you did the oil service before you sorted that out...unless you wanted to check the IMS?.😊

Yes I wanted to check the IMS was fine before proceeding with this engine.. Should be attempting the oil leak on Friday’s video👍🏻

That's not a crush washer. Look like an Ali washer to me. Crush washers are copper, and do just that wen torqued to spec. Just being picky😊
