Thanks for posting. I'm about to try this. I read on another channel that a string could be looped around those upper clips to pull them toward the center without prying. Gonna try that.

I suffered an over heat and of course I then proceeded to clean the rads. I found the bottom row of the A/C condensers was rotted off of each one, I guess that explains why the A/C stopped working. I then proceed to clean the rads. There was a lot of crap, that would explain the over heat. Some of the crap was so hard it was like concrete, but after a through soaking I managed to clean it up. I saw a red light flashing and thought it was low on oil and proceeded to add two liters of oil as the red flashing light never went away. I was un able to figure out how to read the dip stick. After getting home and asking you tube what the flashing light was ,it told me that it is a low coolant light, I checked the coolant level and sure enough it was very low. So now I have to get two liters out of my oil sump and figure out were my coolant leak is, I was able to drive it home with out it over heating, but i was driving home slowly, maybe I have a loose hose clamp, leaking head gasket? I don't know, the engine compartment isn't the easiest thing to acsees especially with the hard top which is a two person job to remove, I am tempted to just store the car till the spring and work on it then, ah, first world problems.

It is unfortunate that Porsche stopped short in that respect. Sure there are all these aftermarket grills, but since I am ultra picky, I am never impressed by the installation of them. On my motorcycle, I made up some fiberglass screens to cover my rads. Bugs just wipe off and it has zero effect on engine temperatres based on the gauge. Porsche could have something similar.
