Good luck with the towing when it comes to charging because that’s not going to be easy at most charging stations plus I’d like to know how many miles you lose when towing because I bet you’ll be filling up more often! Lovely car though.

It's bizarre and slightly sickening that the move to 'green' EVs has led to a rise of these energy-guzzling monsters. We need a new benchmark for what is environmentally friendly as just being an EV is clearly not enough

If you charge this at home during the day using solar, it’s just as green as any other electric car regardless of efficiency.

If it’s powered by green energy then why not. Surely we can be green and still have some fun! There are plenty of sensible EVs to choose from in any case. Notwithstanding this we shouldn’t be going totally EV in any case because it doesn’t suit everyone!

I'd agree with Vicki. Just because you have the potential power and speed, doesn't mean you want to use it all the time. The car seems colour sensitive. White doesn't suit it

It actually seems good value versus Polestar3, Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, which is almost a sad thing to say. When a ford Capri pushes nearly 60k, this looks a far better buy. However, I seem to have blinked and become priced out of new cars.

Macan of your dreams costs a whole lot more than £5-£10k in options lol. I struggle yo get under 10k in option when im being stingy! £15-£20k is all too easy.

The push to move everyone to towards EV and yet almost all the options coming to market are these ridiculous £80k+ SUV’s, what happened to great affordable cars, even VW’s ID3 “the peoples car” is £40k and feels far cheaper and less quality than a 7.5 golf.

A depreciating hippo ,I’d take a ICE GTS it’s cheaper ,and you don’t need a load of apps on a screen telling you where you’ll have to charge ,it also looks incredibly wide going down a two way road

The width difference between a Macan GTS and the Macan 4S BEV is 1.1cm, not exactly a huge difference is it? I’d imagine the vast majority of Macan buyers will have access to off street parking so won’t need to use a public charger that often.

Agree. Existing ICE Macan GTS is still the best and best value for the majority. My advice is get one while you can if you can and don't feel guilty, cos it'll be the best daily drive you'll ever have.

They will pile up in the forecourts like unpalatable cakes...Peel off the badge and it looks like a Chinese electrotrash clone. Shame on this company once famous for its sports cars and now working as a VW clone bar its minimal GT range. A note on options: it becomes easily expensive but Porsche has got this right still: one a few companies that lets you option your car exactly like you want. Journalists need not to worry: we say the words they can't...
