Great review and very accurate. My Panamera Turbo has been in the shop for a month because of the oil issue. They’re saying it’s a seal. Thankfully it’s under warranty. It’s still my dream car and I love everything about it. I truly enjoyed this review. I learned so much. Thank you!

Great review, I purchased a used GTS 2013 . My rear spoiler failed to work. Stop working. Can’t be fixed or replaced. Nice car , runs great, but something goes wrong and it can’t be fixed. I have questions about the name of Porsche. Nate any help with getting this fixed.
@Need2Speedcartalk3 жыл бұрын
Nate, sounds like the motor or even a simple fuse needs to be changed to get that spoiler working. A Porsche dealership or specialist can better diagnose that problem. Thanks for watching

Love your review, I prefer a long term owner review rather than someone just having the car for a day. I own a 2016 GTS and mine sucks oil like i've never on any other car that i owned, my Porsche service people tells me its normal on this big V8, i have not had any problems with the car since purchase brand new and to date only 26000 miles. keep up the the vids love em.
@Need2Speedcartalk4 жыл бұрын
errol harrison Thanks 🙏, your support is greatly appreciated, it’s a great car and it does consume a lot of oil, I own V8 SUV’s that don’t consume oil in that manner, this issue was probably addressed in 4.0 engines.
@robertc43114 жыл бұрын
errol harrison Yep, I have a neighbor with the 2016 GTS and his experience with oil usage is consistent with this. But he also vouched for the reliability as he is the original owner and has 88k miles and has not had any other issues. BTW, I own a Hellcat Charger and they also burn oil...😏

I"ve got a 2015 GTS and same thing, oil hog. I just keep a couple of extra quarts handy. But good grief, what a car. Couldn't be happier overall - reliable, the driving experience is crazy good and you have lots of room. The sound of that V8...can't wait to drive it every day. Plus, the GTS are pretty rare so you're pretty unlikely to roll up on another one.

Yes great review, the only question I have for you. I’d did you do your 60,000 miles Pdk service, and if so, how much was it. Some people here said that it wasn’t need or others didn’t want to pay for the service, I have an 2015 cla 45 AMG and seriously thinking about getting one. But the turbo mode. Thanks for your response in advance.. Ford

If you could go back, would you get the Turbo/Turbo S over the GTS? I'm looking at a 2013 Turbo here in the UK as my next car but there's a better spec GTS for less money I've got my eye on too, I'm torn 🤦🏾
@Need2Speedcartalk3 жыл бұрын
Tough choice depends on what type of personality you have, if you like the thrill of speed the turbo is for you. The GTS offers everything the turbo offers, just without the turbos. My GTS is so awesome. Drive both to see what fits your personality. Hope this helps.

Concerning service: I do everything on the service schedule myself. The $550 the dealership wants for an oil change is ridiculous. There’s nothing different about doing an oil change on the Panamera than any other car except removing one bracket with 7 bolts. Takes two minutes to remove. The only point I consider critical to do on time at the dealer is changing the PDK fluid every 6 years or 60K miles. That one it’s not worth saving money on having anyone else do it. PDK transmission cannot be repaired if a problem occurs, and a new one is $18,000. So be sure those PDK changes are done on schedule at a dealer.
@Need2Speedcartalk Жыл бұрын
Completely agree simple oil change is the same for all vehicles except the 911’s are different. Pay special attention to the PDK service which is one you don’t want to miss. Thanks for your comment
@billydanzz4 жыл бұрын
Just checked out your video...Just subscribed! Been looking for a long term ownership review. I only know one friend who has a 911, so wanted to see if other dudes had good reliability out of their cars. Considering the 2017 Panamera as they are now coming off of leases and depreciation starting to set in. Only problem I have with the current gen model is the damn "I-Pad" approach to control everything, especially the HVAC controls. Having to go through screen menus just adjust the air vents for example, is just gimmicky and problems waiting to happen....so I'm just real hesitant to buy since all the current model german cars are all 'over-teched'.
@Need2Speedcartalk4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, I agree they went overboard on the tech with the Gen 2, very reliable car.

I’m thinking about getting a 2017 base verision for 60,000. It has 41,000 miles and the owner was leasing it at some corporation. I really want it but i’m not sure if it’s a good buy. It’s this or a grand cherokee trailhawk. The trail hawk is only 44,000 fully loaded and i can get that down 40,000
@Need2Speedcartalk4 жыл бұрын
Johnny W It comes down to personal preference at this point. What fits your needs the best. The panamera is a solid car especially if you want power and luxury. Trail hawk is good also giving you the ability to tow or haul more passengers and cargo.

@@Need2Speedcartalk Some things we are concerned with, the ceramic brakes. The reviews say very expensive, replacing rotors very expensive. The air suspension if it goes out, again very expensive. We love the car and are seriously considering buying. Seems you recommend it.
@Need2Speedcartalk3 жыл бұрын
@@corynoltensmeier2411 Yes you are correct Ceramic brakes are expensive to replace, my car was not equipped with ceramic brakes which is optional. Make sure the car you are looking at does not have ceramic brakes, most GTS models don’t. The air suspension is costly if it goes bad. On the other hand that’s if it goes bad, extended or aftermarket warranty would help. Through my research I have found very little air suspension going bad in this vehicle. Hopefully this helps.

Without putting a lot of miles on a car you can not speak of reliability. Highway miles are very easy on any car so to really know it needs to have been driven at least 8000 miles a year , highway and in town to know if the car starts reliably, does it shift reliably all the time. Ect ,etc.
@Need2Speedcartalk2 жыл бұрын
Disagree, owning a vehicle for over seven years, I can speak on reliable, i have driven this car on numerous road courses and have drag raced this vehicle, which is extremely hard on a vehicle. All that done with no issues. Keep in mind the average driver isn’t going to drive like me.
