same here. i hate the idea of batteries wearing out and turning the car into junk, hate the idea of no exhaust, hate the idea of cars pulling from the still dirty electric grid, hate the idea of driving fast draining charge really quickly, and really really hate the idea of having little to no tuning opportunity. but porsche sure killed it with this car, even solved at least the exhaust problem by not making a fake engine noise but giving the ev its own unique noise. and we also need to think about those people who thought "noo my horses it makes this horrible noise while my horse makes a beautiful nayyyyyy sound ew disgusting" when the model t came out.

really liked the vid. finally someone that's driving the car and not spending 50% of the video blabbing about the styling of the infotainment. the one thing you got slightly wrong is when you said that people might not choose a Porsche/non tesla if they already have a tesla wall connector at home; its a common misconception that these at home tesla chargers work differently than a generic wall charger( j1772). Yes they do have some safety stuff like if the power goes out it wont immediately supply power to the car, it has some fancy Bluetooth stuff and lights, but it uses the same electrical supply and communication standard that Cisco and all the others use, just in a different physical connector shape. Both the tesla and j1772 are basically both just a low voltage control box that operates a house mains relay, that when the car signal says "hey supply me power" it powers the relay and the car is basically connected directly to house mains power. thus, if you have a tesla home wall connector ($500 ish) you don't need to replace it if you want to charge another car that has a j1772 connector. yes you will need an adapter. while they are less expensive than changing the full box, its still $100. although there are people that have videos on how to make them yourself but i wouldn't recommend making that your first electrical experience cuz doing it wrong could cause shorts, fires, damage to car bla bla bla

I'm not a fan of the electric door handles and charging port door. I don't know what the repair bill for the door handle motor or filler door sensor is but I'm sure they're not cheap. I want to be able to walk up to the car and open the door, not wait for it to extend to me, same as the filler door, but you use that less so it's a little more forgiveable (and it's part of the electric car futuristic gimmicky things). Cool review - regarding the noise that you can select to be heard in the interior, it is my understanding that it is entirely based on the noise coming from the motors and is just amplified. In other words, it’s my understanding that it is not an artificial or made up noise. Regarding the comparative range between Tesla and Porsche EV ‘s, I have read numerous reviews which have shown repeatedly that the actual real world ranges are very similar, which is rather surprising considering how different the EPA figures or as you mentioned. It makes me wonder whether at some point if we’re going to have a Teslagate like VW’s infamous dieselgate come over this time regarding range cheating…
