I’ve like the practicality of your review. You are candid, yet not attacking; you are also complimentary when appropriate. An excellent, extremely fair review with information and perspective missing from many. Clearly, in summary, you love your Taycan Cross Turismo.

Thank you for your kind words and yes, you understand what this channel is about! Dream cars were meant to be driven. Our focus is what it’s like to drive and live with these cars in real life. Not just repeating test track stats. Thank you for watching, subscribing and for your support.

It has been 11 months since you did this excellent review of the Taycan Cross Turismo 4S. I'm considering getting a 2021 CPO one with 16,000 miles on the odometer. Has there been any surprises, recalls, battery or software issues? I know these heavy vehicles go through tires pretty quickly, but I'm ok with that. I am also aware the range sucks compared to other EV offerings, but I simply love the exterior design so much that I'm willing to adapt to the 200-mile range.

Well first of all, thank you for watching, subscribing and commenting on my videos. I appreciate your support. I literally just came in from checking tire pressures in the garage, and sat down to reply to your questions. The most important news to share from my perspective, is that we are now less than 4 months out from 2 years since we took delivery at Porsche Experience Center, Atlanta and made the 1,302 mile journey home in January 2023. The Taycan has still not had one single failure which required any visit to the dealer, nor have we spent a single dollar on maintenance. Obviously all new cars incorporate a truly significant amount of software, and sometimes it amazes me that these car companies are able to make these things work at all, considering how many times I have to reboot my Apple iMac or iPhone. And there have been grand failures, the truly awful Fisker, all early Teslas and some early Lucid models among them. Even the early Taycans had their fair share of software glitches (maybe more than their share?) but the dealers I spoke with all told me that the cars were mechanically very sound, typically Porsche and that it was just a matter of making the software right. That is a superior position to be in to those of people who own cars, and yes I'm looking at you Tesla, where the mechanical bits and quality are lacking. Software can be fixed rather easily, but shoddy materials, fit, finish and build quality last the life of the vehicle. Because ours is a 2023, we were able to avoid the "excitement" of software issues that earlier purchasers had to endure, and I'm very happy about that because I understand how a few bad experiences can be enough to sour someone on the entire vehicle. As for your comment regarding range, in our experience (and I've seen similar reports all across the Internet) we see up to 311 miles of range at 100% charge, which we rarely charge to, and 248 miles routinely at 80% charge. The range of the Taycan is actually quite good, and has been increased further for the 2025 model. I just purchased my 7th Porsche, a 2011 987.2 Cayman S for my son, which I will be releasing a video on soon, and I am reminded how well Porsche engineers and constructs their vehicles, from our 40 year old 944 which just moved to it's new owner to make garage space for the Cayman, to our 2023 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo. And yes, of all the cars I have ever had the pleasure to own and or drive, this Taycan remains the most exciting car to drive that we've ever experienced. In my opinion, a CPO model from a reputable Porsche dealer is a great way to go. Please update me on what you end up getting!

I appreciate the practical coverage of ingress/egress issues. Important consideration, especially for older people. I might be trying to get my mom in and out of one of these, one day.

Thank you for watching, subscribing and sharing your comments. Getting in, and even more-so getting out, is not easy and there is no graceful way to pull it off. You can see from the crash video (and experience from the incredible handling) where Porsche's priorities lay.

Thank you for watching, subscribing and for your constructive comments! Yes indeed, I speak very fast and tend to mumble. I appreciate your input- I will make extra effort to annunciate more clearly and speak more slowly. It’s not easy, but you and the other subscribers deserve it. I did it in some of my earlier videos- such as the 944 video. Again, thank you!

Excellent/outstanding review. The Taycan is a stunner! Aesthetically, and as we all know, it performs so well too. Coincidentally as you fairly noted, my wife and I (70 year olds) to evaluate ingress and egress, are heading to our Porsche dealership within a week for “a fitting.” We sure hope so, but If it does not work, definitely a Macan EV Turbo would be next for us. TU. Subscribed.

@johnelegant1727 Thank you sir for subscribing! And for watching and sharing your thoughts. Trying it out is a great idea. The Taycan is an exceptional driving car, even by Porsche standards, but it definitely makes you earn the privilege. Hope it works for you and your wife. I had a 2015 Macan S for 3 years. It’s like a GTi on stilts, a real hot hatch that drives much better than it has any right to. But the Taycan is a whole other level. Truly a sports car with the low, low seating position, low center of gravity and low 911-style hood with no engine in front. It’s a blast!
