Good morning! Super unfortunate incident with the truck going into the water. When the sand’s not built up there, it would be tougher, but they should maybe put a rail up along there. Nice gift! Tacos will give you gas, so it’s a twofer! It’s supposed to get a little chilly here over the weekend so I hope the weather holds for a good turnout. Kevin ain’t paying you back 😂 It does look really nice down there, clear blue skies. Hope you’re having a great day today!

Hey Lisa. Other people have said that it happens from time to time. I think there may have been other factors involved. There's no way someone going 15 miles an hour could wind up in that canal. I'm sure we can all speculate but really interested to see a police report.

Hey buddy. When the sand fest is over, they will leave the sculptures up as long as possible. Eventually, the wind, and unfortunately people will wear them down. At some point they'll get out the heavy equipment and everything will look just as it did before. It's a pretty neat concept.

Some of the sculptures will be put on platforms and then they usually get sprayed with a compound to help them Stay intact for a few days. I really don't know much about the process, but it's pretty amazing.

Thanks for the sneak peek of the Sandfest. We're not gonna be there this year. It has become so large and expensive anymore that it's no longer fun. Plus, they have to put up a fence to keep morons from knocking the sculptures down. People are stupid. On another note. We will hit Rockport/Fulton sometime. Any cool stuff to do there? I would go to the website. I believe you can buy tickets ahead of time. It all depends on what events you want to see.

Would you suggest beach parking to purchase ahead of time. Or parking lot elsewhere? We are crossing into Port Aransas with the ferry. Do you know if that is the best entrance or another way from the north? What time do you suggest to get there to avoid long car lines.

I would avoid the ferry to avoid long lines. Be prepared for a heavy traffic everywhere in the area. It's a huge event. Go to their website and check out the parking options.
